Happy Birthday Cave Story!!

Hey, today {or yesterday, for some} is Cave Story's birthday!! That's five years of awesomeness.
Do you think they'll be any news or something on the WiiWare version...?
{Though, last I heard, the only thing stopping the release was Nintendo...}

It's rather... saddening that Nicalis hasn't updated their blog on Cave Story development since August 11...! (even Night Sky/Night Game, since September 9)

...the only WiiWare game from Nicalis that has an announced release period still standing is La-Mulana, mentioning Winter of 2009, which starts today! Only 10 more days until that date is broken, so I'm not exactly holding my breath...

Nintendo must be freaking stringent on them or something, since there are crap games in their WiiWare catalog! Unfair treatment, or do they want Nicalis to muster all they can about the games?

And to answer your question, we all know the answer. Yes he did.

After all he made a game with a floating island with talking rabbits and a robot who's panties you could steal. Oh and let's not forget about the talking toaster/lunchbox (or as I prefer, lunbox). Sounds like an acid trip to me :rolleyes: .

Screw that, I'll pay 800 (or however many) nintendo points for my acid-inspired made-in-japan platformer and I will enjoy every second of it.

Because I can, and if anything it will support CS/pixel. Plus hopefully through wiiware it'll become even more popular, but that's a bit of a stretch.

I asked myself that, and yes. I'll buy the game. Doesn't help that I'm a Nintendo supporter as well as a fan of Pixel's works.

By the way, I don't think Nintendo is doing any of the work. If anything, it's being Nicalized.

And boycotting? What will that do? (no seriously, I'm a bit lost about this whole boycotting thing)

You see, some people are mad that there are no known changes to the game outside of easy mode, multiple saves, and an update. And the dlc is 3hp mode.
I blame Nicalis. I don't know why Pixel thinks 3hp mode is a good dlc idea, but whatever.

Wow... If someone needs to pay money so that they don't pick a certain item up by accident, that person is taming the masses the game has been dumbed down for.

Haha, only a matter of time!!
I'm sure the music's gotten a lot better, if they're anything like those extras they gave us :D
And you can see how some of the complaining's been all for not, there's no cheap 3HP DLC, it's apart of an even tougher Hard Mode that comes with the game:p
I wonder if we can get them to accept mods, or something similar, since they said they'd take requests for DLC....
Man, now I can't wait for the release, again....

Except the person who made those two samples didn't make the music for Cave Story Wii. If he did, it would all be slow and tracey.
DLC should include Chaco pr0n scene.
