Cave Story Flash Project

Yeah, we're going for a higher standard of animation than blatant gradients and simple motion tweens.

Depending on which part of your body you are thrusting, I co-thrust you!
But seriously, with Flash you have to use motion tweens. Not for everything, but some things are just much simpler that way.

I did, *cough*emulator*cough*, and I have a few ideas.

 

Flash is hand-drawn... if you have a tablet, like me.
And I think that cerealkiller will be doing people. If you have trouble drawing scenery, monsters or other non-human things then I guess it would be hard for you.

It's not the drawing itself that's the problem.
I gave a scene a go and when I use textas, I can't hide back ground details with moving characters.

Just say there was a crack in the background, behind where someone's face is, I would end up with a crack on the person's face. Basically It's more difficult than I first anticipated

I use paint to make each frame, and photoshop to change them into GIFs.
I'm not so sure about doing the animating. Probably cause I don't have flash and the methods in which I animate are slightly innefficient.

You still seem to have alot of unconfirmed voice actor roles. Even though I think that my voice sounds retarted when it's recorded, I wouldn't mind going and buying a microphone and showing what roles would be good. If my voice is too retarded then that's okay.

I only really wanna be a part of this cause it sounds like fun. It won't mean so much to me if I'm not accepted for it.

i was bored, so i wanted to see if i could make the intro textbox in flash (might make the actual game intro if im really bored, the last part is just tacked on because i like being stupid D:

Not a bad idea. You got me thinking: At each episode's beginning, we get the standard "From somewhere, a transmission..." message box, FAde Out Fade In into the action, then during a suitable scene we put the title on the screen. Do it right and it'll be awesome.
