I messed up my game through this. I

ate curly for 3 life

and now I can't get past boulder chamber. Any advice?

Edit: Also, I don't think that there is a new weapon. I just think that IGN was being lazy while exploring.

Please tell me that they at least reset flags after dying.

Everything for the most part stays the same, except for in CommanerJersey's case, it seems. I myself haven't really fucked up my data to the point where I couldn't progress.

 

I feel disappointed by this game. Its Cave Story. But glitchy, you can hardly tell where some platforms are real of fake, and I really doubt that there is a new weapon. Balrog STILL SAYS OH YEAH? MUDAFACKAR! Jesus, thats like Kool-aide Man saying " Have no fear, a giant pitcher is here."

Yeah, it still hasn't made it's way down to Australia either - had to ship it from the UK and twiddle my thumbs for 2 weeks while everyone else was having fun. </3; you can still order it from elsewhere though, right?

Good news is that I got past the boulder chamber and I spent about an hour last night getting my health up to 1039. But the bad news is when you collect more health through a heart or refill station, it jumps back down to 233. So sad

 

Speaking of health, has anyone managed to get all 100 HP? I only got to 98, and I can't find the last Life Capsule anywhere.

 

Did you find the one hidden in grasstown (bushlands) to the left of the power supply room?

 

Honestly, I can't say I'm 100% convinced to buy this version of Cave Story. The WiiWare version was a bit...lacking, and this one just doesn't look right to me. I dunno.

 

yeah, i noticed that the Wiiware version was a bit lacking.

 

Suprisingly, this version has even less than the Wiiware one. However, the new visuals, music, and the major glitch(discussed a few pages ago) make me keep playing this game.

It looks just like you would expect it to. But now the insta-death spikes and the regular spikes are hard to tell apart

Meh, I don't find them to be too hard to tell apart. Deadly ones are big, damaging ones are small.

Yes.

 

Tried that glitch. I managed to get to Hell w/o the enemies nor health loaded. All that's there is those rolling things and deletes.

I believe that there is a 2HP Capsule in the room where Booster gives you the v0.8. It is right next to the refill station.

 

Got that one too. I've backtracked and looked at every area I could, but it still adds up to 98 by the time I fight Ballos.
