Artwork and Stuff

For me, it's not even that I get irritated by my art, I'm just passively more inclined to do things other than draw. It's a shame, really, because I have the capacity to make some really nice stuff when I put the time, effort, and time into it. Also time. Lots of that.

Lol, sounds a lot like me. I don't really draw much, and don't really think of myself as much of a visual artist, but sometimes I'm surprised at how good some of my stuff is when I do draw .

 

I can draw I guess decent enough pics if I really want to, it just takes me hours >_> Learning some technical stuff would probably be helpful, there's nothing wrong with that, but I find art 'reviewing' to be so full of pretentiousness and subjectivity that it's impossible to take seriously. Either the proportions are right (either physically or artistically (e.g. cartoons)) or they aren't, there's no deep secret to that. Shading can get awkward but personally I find it to be the easy part <_< Creativity is just as important as execution IMO, if not moreso, because no amount of skill can make a bland idea look clever. The cruel thing is less my lack of ability and more the fact that I think up things so easily in my head that I'm never going to be able to draw them all :<

If I ever do get around to releasing a demo of my first full-length mod you will be knocked off your seats by the art quality though, I promise you that.

 

I'm not sure if you are complimenting me or insulting me. It's hard to tell with you. If it's the former, then thank you.

I was certainly complimenting you on the quality of the art. Getting art to that level takes time, and it surprised me that someone who claimed to hate drawing would take the time to get to that level.

It may not be stellar quality art of a highly professional standard (or it may, I'm not really the best judge of that), but it's a lot better than the art of a beginner.

 

Well thank you. Hehe. It really didn't take much work or effort when growing up since I liked it so much. But now..that's a different story. I have yet to learn a lot of the basics.

It's scary

I did this with my tablet and that's mainly why I'm not calling it pixel art.
It was harder to do than with a mouse... which is why it's not very detailed.

 

That is amazing Noxid. Dragonair is probably my favorite Dragon Pokemon.

I like your Master Chief pencil sketch, but the colors don't blend enough on tencolored version.
Make use of the gradient tool, and take a look at the color scheme of Master Chief, to make it really good. O:
