I just spent the last 3 days of free time watching Crest of the Stars, Banner of the Stars and Banner of the Stars II [including the bonus OVA from Banner of the Stars III]

It was a good show. I was really starting to feel for the characters by the third season...

My only complaint about this show is that it was far too short. Nothing was filler, season 1 called Crest of the Stars, was 13 eps; season 2 was Banner of the Stars 13 eps, and season 3 was Banner of the Stars 2, only 10 episodes... I wanted more lol
Watching it in three days was awesome but at the same time, makes me sad....
I'm ready for a new season .. ;p

What made me buy this in the first place was that review as well as...
Every once in a while a name will stick with me, and the art as well. El-Hazard for one, was a strange name, and the foreign art and fantastic setting immediately attracted my attention. And what do you know it ended up being one of my favorites.

Same with Record of Lodoss War OVA, Princess Tutu and Crest of the Stars...
I still actually have my doubts about Crest of the Stars as its place in my favorites, only because I went so fast through it. But, it really told a great epic story. It didn't just focus on the main couple of characters, but gave a detailed look into a larger picture. Grrr.... why's it already over

to be honest ive never played any final fantasy's ( except for final fantasy tactics on GBA ) so i dont know most the characters except tifa and cloud ^^

i own azumanga diaoh so ive seen it like 3 times XD

if we're being frank and straightforward, actually I haven't been entirely accurate... Because the whole story is actually a part of the facts. In fact, I've always told true blue reputable make believe honorable and ethical underhanded truths. You see... to be straight up with you, if you want to be on board with what I'm talking about we gotta speak plain to each other. Sometimes telling a fib actually helps dig out the untruth when shining light on what's at stake... Catch my drift?
(if you understood that, then you understand more than I do )

You probably aren't missing too much by not playing the Final Fantasy games... They remind me of big blockbuster movies with all the newer games. FF9 is made by Disney [or seems like it]. FFX is sorta a dramatic volleyball crunchy thing. FFXI is online. FFXII... well I heard it wasn't as good as it could have been...
But what FF's have been lacking in lately, they make up for by spending mega bucks, and some of the music is usually really awesome.
Don't get me wrong, each FF is a great game. But, I think with their budget they could really make a masterpiece.

Masterpiece Example : I found the first half or two thirds of Xenogears to be close to masterpiece quality work. That game had things going for them. I mean it did spawn the whole Xenosaga 1 - 3 didn't it?

As for Azumanga! I didn't think of Osaka as my favorite character until after finishing the series and having a friend comment about her spooking them out when they watched it Then I reflected on it and said wow, I'm adopting her! Osaka is perfect lol

I've been watching various anime...
Right now I'm watching Berserk~
I think Berserk is a good glimpse into how Ballos could have started out [a well-known popular/famous person who cares for the people] and turned into BALLOS the insane. Watching Griffith I mean. Plus the setting fits pretty well with Ballos' time.

Great bloodthirsty anime. 5 star!

i saw .hack roots, its alright but i was dissapointed with the ending, and i watched it with subs ._. that was annoying

oh and check out AMV hell if you want some funny anime music videos..... just dont look at AMV hell 0.... its just wrong

I always watch mine in japanese with subs Till the day I know Japanese enough to not need subs at all

Oh AMV Hell 3 was pretty funny lol That was the first one I saw, and I think it was the best of the bunch... I don't know what to say about 0 lol boo
EDIT: ACTUALLY I just remembered that the reason I sought out Azumanga Daioh to buy was BECAUSE of AMV Hell 3 lol Seeing all of those clips of this ... Azumanga Daioh.. and THAT particular music video Ophoria from Hell 3 convinced me that I needed to seek out that anime, without knowing anything about it...

@JacobX8911111111 - I want to watch Bleach and Deathnote... I heard some good things about them from friends... but I usually wait till I buy anime to watch it. World domination requires lots of purchased anime...
