    All these rereleases are largely about what Nintendo has made a career out of for decades. Milking a franchise. Like any other product its there to extract more cash from peoples wallets. Pixel cared all about his game, his vision and his audience. Now that Nicalis are in the driving seat, thier going to run this one into the ground until the money stops rollign in and move on. Any minor added features are either to amke the game more accesible or relevant to todays market or as little hooks to drag the fans who liked the game from the begining.

    You dont think that some of the thousands of people just getting into gaming every day have a chance of discovering cave story for the first time from Nicalis and their multiplatform Cave Story plus effort?

    Not to mention that not a single person i've asked about cave story in the real world, gamers mind you, knew what it was. There are a lot of gamers that cave story doesnt even appear on their radar.

    You're projecting more than a bit there. I've been deleting a lot more lately in the Take 8 threads because they're important and I want to keep them on topic and people keep failing to understand this. I've also gotten into a habit of prioritising deleting over warning/infracting, partly because if I always gave out infractions there would be bans happening every other day at the moment. If you really think Noxid and GIR are doing things differently then I'll take that as reason for why I choose not to because explaining things clearly doesn't make a difference.

    And as for the mod itself, despite its shortness (and minor bugs), was it fine?

    I don't think there's enough demand to warrant en entire subforum. At the very most they could have their own threads in General Discussion if the mod itself is dead, but up to this point nobody has gone so far as to write a guide for a mod and I presume that isn't going to change much.

    And I've used other not-booster avatars in the past. This pose sort of appeared by accident when I was fiddling with my engine and I just couldn't NOT use it for something so I made a few adjustments and now it's my avatar.

    Presumably in the OP of your thread, and then you'd make a post letting people know that it exists.
    At least, that's what I'd do. We don't really have any precedent for mod guides.

    Alright, I will. I'm used to calling mods hacks on another site. I'm currently re-making super mario world so it's harder, and I'm making a pokemon emerald mod that contains scary pokemon from internet myths. And yes, I am DEFINITELY making that cave story mod. I may even re-make some of the bosses and sprites.

    Could say the same for myself. Except mine was more of a fanfic I made in between 2006 to 2009. Made and remade, and remade, and gave up after it got way too big and complicated x_x;; But like I said to Gabbalis before, I grew fond of Billy enough to make him my 'sona after a while :3
