I remember when Balrog was a toaster to me, due to when I first met him for the first time, it took a little bit to get that it was the door frame that made him have a "handle on his head" and thought his arms were toast.

I salute you. Most people just notice the "handle" and ignore it afterwards. I remember that I once tried to find the "handle" in a different cutscene and wondered why I even thought he had one.

No need to salute me, I tend to get very attentive into games that I like, though I then have the problem of losing track of time, it's all good.

Just to pick on CF a little bit, he said he didn't notice Santa had a bed in his house (in another thread) and he thought (strikeout text) that Chaco had two.

No, he is a ghost who decided to work for Dr. Gero for some reason after Quote saved the island. His only relation to Balrog is that he looks similar. Originally, Pixel was going to make Balrog a common enemy, and now that idea is somewhat preserved with Pooh Black.

I think he was misunderstood, he wanted to help, but they fled in fear, not knowing he wasn't going to hurt them, but after quote saved the island, they decided to approach him.

 

I think pooh is an accident having to do with the teleporter.
