if you're just going to do it yourself why bother making a thread

Every time someone tries to add some content to this thread you just reply with "I already knew that." or "fix your bbcode". You never respond in a "thank you, adding that to the compendium" kind of way, or any way that really encourages user participation in this thread.

I mean honestly if you keep going on like this we should almost just shut down this thread since it's a bit pointless if it's just you.

Why is this thread pointless if it's only me working on it?
Because "The Cutting Room Floor" already exists and (I assume) isn't actively hostile towards people trying to contribute.

Or in other words, if this is just for you then make a fucking .txt file instead.

That's odd. Isn't bullet damage an 8-bit signed integer? From memory the max damage possible with one hit should be 127, at least before you switch to negative damage and start healing enemies.

I mean it may be possible with chained hits (where a single bullet hits the same enemy multiple times) or hardcoded damage, still odd though.

I'd be interested to know how to apply this effect to a vanilla exe.

Actually that whole healing enemies thing (damage values 128 to 255) might be worth adding to your list.

Are you sure you mean the bullet that instantly kills everything on-screen doing thousands of damage when shot from a regular gun?

Hey so like which bullet is this? You have the ID number?

I'm asking for historical purposes.

I dunno if that counts. I mean, isn't it more of an unintended thing?
It specifically shows different coloured numbers when healing and a change in sign if I recall correctly. That seems pretty intentional to me. Have you not tested it?

There is a sprite for item number 0 in ItemImage.pbm.

It's merely a few brown dots that do not appear to mean anything.
Isn't that the computer screen sprite? I'm pretty sure that it is used in the game. Just like how the Littles' sprites are on ItemImage.pbm. Not everything in this file are item images.

Bullet IDs only range from 1 to 2D. Values 1 to 2A are well-known. 2B is Curly's Nemesis. 2C is "EnemyClear" which is legitimately unused as far as I can tell. 2D is the whimsical star.
Anything outside this range is just garbage data.

What computer screen sprite?
Ah.. you are right. All of the computers I can find use different sprites for the display.

I know that leveling up weapons past level 3 gives some weird bullet effects
