• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

Who? The Doctor? o_O?
No, the bwitch that did smething to her children. Well, probably, at the time she got up there, Quote was already fighting undead core. She searched the Misery room and, because of Plot Induced Stupidity, she didn't go up, and instead searched the Prefab.

Metalogz said:
She probably went into the Prefab house after getting up through the Final Cave to rest and accidentally fell through the coincidentally crumbly block below the shelves.

Remember that you couldn't go back up after you fell down into the Sacred Grounds after beating the undead Core? The block just repaired itself after Curly fell it, just like how it did at that time.

Then the block, including everything else, got damaged due to the rockfalls after the Undead Core, so the block crumbled again.
Or, she was in the building when the Island started falling. She fell down the broken block and since she already changed her weapon for a Nemmy (found it in the Prefab), she wasn't able to fly up.

But, personally, I do too like the black wind theory.

What do you do when an unknown robot tries to steal your rocket?
How are you going to prevent it if you're not around?

I don't think that was my theory...

A few more unanswered questions:

1. How do we know the Doctor is actually dead after Undead Core fight? When we killed his natural body, he survived by magic of the red crystal. Why should his possessed body (the core) be any different?

2. Why does the island stop falling when Ballos dies? According to Curly, it's because the "negative energy" was weakened. So, it was negative energy that was causing the island to fall? Huh, that's funny, I thought it was gravity. So, by defeating Ballos, we also defeated gravity? Rriiiiiigghhht...

1. We don't know, but I think it's intended that he is. Certainly if you defeat Ballos the Doctor should not be able to survive.

2. Ballos was probably trying to bring the island down, and Jenka created the Core to prevent that.

There have been a couple of theories on this subject. The one I liked most is that the Island is floating all by itself (a wizard did it). Ballos's imprisonment made it too heavy somehow, so Jenka installed The Core (TM) that negated the effect. Destroy the Core, it's too heavy again. Destroy Ballos, it's flying all by itself again. Problem solved.

I like my theory since it is the only one that doesn't have glaring flaws.

So Curly stole the rocket despite her personality, magically makes her way into Sacred Grounds? Yet she somehow gets stuck at B1, a room with no enemies where you can't get hurt without dying and impossible to navigate without Curly's machine gun? So if she was in B2 or B3 (where the enemies are) then why would she backtrack? If she did fall in at the prefab building then why is she not dead at the first set of spikes?

The theory is that the red flowers, the crown, etc. are all affected by a combination of Ballos' magic and insanity, when Ballos was defeated then the red flowers would most likely have become normal flowers and the magic keeping the doctor alive would die.

Though when the core was defeated, I believe that Ballos drew his power back from the crown bearer (killing him in the process) in order to fight his sister's (Jenka's) magic and drive the island into the ground. As such when you fight Ballos his powers are mostly devoted to bringing down the island.

One answer for two questions.

Sorry, your theory has flaws of its own. It fails to explain how Curly gets through a solid floor beneath the Heavy Press, for starters. You also seem to assume she has the Machine Gun, which is not the case.

andwhyisit said:

No she did not steal the rocket. She came along and saw the rocket sitting there. No-one else was using it, so she climbed on and turned it on. Remember that once the rocket reaches its max height it comes back down and can be re-used.

Curly was probably crawling through the spikes very carefully, like pushing through a tangle of briars. Since she's an NPC, the spikes do not have to be instadeath for her.

This makes sense, I think...

Without wondering why it is there? Without waking up momorin with the sound of engines firing?

While the ground is moving? With curly having to drop from a height 9 times onto closely packed spikes that could impale a person with ease?

Oh and the spikes appear to be made of solid needles coming out of a plant base, so unlike a tangle of briars you can't move the spikes out of the way. Not that it is relevant, but I figured I would make this point.

By this time Momorin and Itoh have probably already gone up to the helicopter. If they haven't, however, it is perfectly reasonable to believe that Curly talked to them and they suggested she use the rocket.

She may have gone through before the ground started moving.

Now this is a good point... and I'm not sure if I can find a way to counter it. I'll give it some thought. Unless she had rope, I can't think of a good explanation... nah, she couldn't have met Booster.

But she might be able to carefully slip between the spikes.

Without the password? Loan a rocket to a complete stranger?

If so then she could just as easily made it from the plantation throne room.

But I believe such an explaination would be pure speculation and wouldn't go very far.

I know. I was just correcting you on your choice of comparisons.

Though how could she have hurt herself? Those spikes would run you through instantly killing you or you may get through them and be alive.

How about this.

Quote blows up Core, island starts to fall.

Down in the Plantation, the ground starts shaking and giant chunks of the ceiling start collapsing. The little hollow thingy where Cthulu and Curly are in starts to cave in but at the same time a crack opens in the wall. To save herself, Curly ducks into the newly opened crack, and finds that it's part of a hidden tunnel system that Quote never encountered on any of his travels.

Cthulu's place collapses entirely behind her so Curly figures best course of action would be to keep moving forward in hopes of an exit elsewhere. Ground still shaking, she picks an upward-sloping tunnel and starts going through it, since she knows Quote headed for the top.

After climbing a while, a sudden jolt frees a bunch of rocks and opens a new crack in the floor. Curly falls through the crack, lands in that spot in B1, gets conked on the noggin by a chunk of boulder, falls unconscious, rubble fills up the crack that she fell through.

There.

Let me explain something about this password.

There is a door hidden in the plantation. Momorin finds it unlocked, and uses it as a hideout. Naturally, she locks it so that others can't get in. However, if someone says the password, she will let them in.

There. If Momorin isn't there, the password will no longer be required.

But in any case, she is outside by that time, I think.

Quote is no less of a complete stranger than Curly is.

Indeed.

Maybe from falling too far? Or just from falling onto the spikes once or thrice, but being lucky enough not to be impaled by them.

She could have blasted it, but that then begs the question of how she knew where to blast...

It's plausible, at least, though it's pure speculation.

Considering where the Cthulthu's place is positioned, Curly would most likely plummet to her doom if she walked through that hole.

Next to the outer wall.

Sue knew Quote and it is confirmed that Momorin heard about Quote from Sue and how he helped her, no-one knew Curly 'sides from Quote and the bad guys.

Hard spikes jutting out from the ground that are over half the height if your body and closely packed. There is no "in between". Not even a robot can withstand being impaled in every location across his/her body, let alone three times. That is why it is called a "instant-death trap".

Sure, Sue knew Quote, but not very well.

Yeah, I know. Being lucky once would be amazing. Twice... unlikely. Thrice... won't happen.

Then again, she might be able to bypass the first set of instadeath traps by landing instead on the other spikes, then jumping up. Remember, she can jump higher than Quote.

Exactly.
