Thanks Lyger! Your name's been added to the credits.

I'll go ahead and send in my latest version tomorrow, to see if anybody has any more comments.

Does this count as fanart?

Of course, the Balrog looks weird... Nothing like a toaster at all.

What do you suppose Bill Amend used for the model?

No, it's not fanart – it's a reference to Lord of the Rings, and has nothing to do with Cave Story.

I have a few save files I'd like to submit, if that's alright. I might get some more saves attached later.

(These were both started in my mod, but since there was only extra dialogue added, they should be usable with the original Cave Story.)

1st one- Sacred Grounds, 3 Life. Weapons are Spur, Super Missiles, Fireball, & Blade. (No Bubbler, though)

2nd one- In the Prefab Building before Misery, Doctor, & Undead Core. Armed with the Snake, Super Missiles, Bubbler, & Blade (I think there might be something like this already on there, however...)

By the way, you can put my name there as either 'Bad Beholder' or 'BadBeholderX2000', if you'd like.

I appreciate it, but it seems the filenames for both Draconis' saves & mine on the site there are the same (Both ZIPs in the sets being 04-001 & 04-002). Also, when trying 06-001, 06-002, etc. as a workaround on the address bar, It gave me a "The page cannot be found" message. I don't mean to be a nitpick about it, as I'm sure it'll be fixed shortly, but I figured I might as well bring it up before someone else does.

cursors

I saw that someone had uploaded Cave Story cursors onto the tribute site, and i thought it was a good idea. However i was not so fond of the whimsical star cursors, so, i made my own :D.

Cursors:
CaveStory cursors

Also, the whimsical star cursors i had no clue how to use them at first, so i did a bit of research and created a readme file explaining (to the best of my ability) how to use the cursors.

I hope you like them (I sure do.)

I suppose those are cursors to use with the Windows theme manager?

...I wonder if there's a good way to provide an equivalent package for Mac users... I may investigate that.

I may investigate other options too.

Hello.

I like to share my Cave Story fan creations to the Tribute Site.

Been a fan since January of 2008. I clicked a link sig in another forum site to a relation. It tempted me to play the game, and now I found a link the site the distributes the game. I liked it alot.

I got loads of Cave Story character cursors here. They come in 6 series. Direct links to the zip files:
- Series 1
- Series 2
- Series 3
- Series 4
- Series 5
- Series 6
- Curly Series
- All in one This I only want to submit to the Tribute Site

You can even mix and match series to your liking! Experiment as you wish.

I got fan art and 8-directional sprites here. If you want to take and add it to the Tribute Site, right-click the image and save the picture.

Thank you for your time!

Nice fanart. Those cursors look neat as well, I'll give them a try right now. Funny how Series 6 is called the Curly Addict Series on your site, heh heh...
Also, Filesip is back again! Let's just hope it lasts longer than a month this time unlike its prior revival...

You can post feedback about my large collection of my cursors that I made (using Greenfish Icon Editor). Again, you can always mix and match those series to your liking.

[Trying to get attention to many more fans here...]

Thank you. And the last series, yes...
I know. I added so many of her for all cursor functions (just remeber that the Colon mimigas are some alternatives). Curly cursors used to be in Series 1 in my making of the cursors, but much later, I figured that the cursors should go into it's own new series because I kinda got addicted. I wanted to make alot of things for every function. I moved Curly out of Series 1 to make more Quote and Sue to take over, then put her in the new series. (it's in the readme file of Series 1) So series 6 is created specifically for any fans who are actually addicted to Curly, however if not so addicted, they can always mix and match with other series.

Fluff, I'd recommend putting an outline around each frame of the character images in your sprites (like i did for mine) to increase visibility among various backgrounds. I find it makes the cursor much more enjoyable.

I would, but it will be a waste of time. And I got some characters closer to the edge of the icon area that outlining will be impossible. It wouldn't completely wrap around as it could be some breaks. If I would try to center it, it would hit the triangle pointer or other tool. The Quote cursor... I could not tell if outlining will be possible because he has black hair, a black shirt and shoes.
