The Official "I Just Beat Hell/MonsterX/etc. For The First Time!" Thread

It was so hard and I had to try like 6 times because those dumb blocks kept getting in my way, but I did it and now I have the Alien Medal and I saw all the squid thingies (are those from some other game?) and then I lost Curly but it was okay because I GOT AN ALIEN MEDAL.
My strategy was to shoot Ironhead with the Missile Launcher and the level 3 Blade until he left and then I stopped shooting him until he came back. THOSE BLOCKS WERE SO HARD!

YOU GUYS THIS IS SUCH AN AMAZING ACCOMPLISHMENT AND NOW I AM IN YOUR "GUYS WHO GOT THE ALIEN MEDAL" CLUB YAY IT'S SO IMPORTANT THAT I MADE A NEW THREAD ABOUT IT THAT WILL LAST MAYBE LIKE 2 PAGES BECAUSE SOMEONE WILL START BICKERING BUT THEN THE THREAD WILL DIE BECAUSE IT'S USELESS YAAAYYYY I'M SO HAPPY.

My most recent achievement was beating Hell on Min Items.

 

I beat Hell with full HP and items and everything in 3' 18"
I got to the Undead Core with 3hp and I am having one hell of a time there.

 

I played Cave Story.

 

I beat Hell in 7'05" on the dot. For someone who once upon a time took more than a half-hour to beat it, that's grand.

 

I just beat the game!

Aye, for some reason, I can't kill Ballos fast enough.

 

Do you have the Spur? It goes plenty faster with the Spur instead of anything else.

Then I suck horribly, because I have the spur and the super rocket launcher (full ammo) and I reach him in about 3 mins.

 

It may take some lucky shots on the second form. You can manage to hit both his eyes in one charge shot and that takes a big chunk away. You gotta aim pretty well, though, if you're not standing on his eye sockets.

 

Ooooooooooooohhhhhh, damn I can't get on there fast enough.

If I didn't waste (too much) ammo, would the Super Missile launcher be effective?

 

Probably, but I save those for the last form, since Curly won't shoot when the Spur is charging and I need protection from those Butes.

 

Dude, use the cheat method (jump onto ballos's eyes in last form and as soon as his eyes open, pump him full of super missiles). It takes maybe 14 missiles. (don't forget that you can get 25 missiles in hell).

 

You can still stand on him at that point? I never even... Okay, best to prepare myself to get a three-minute time next time I run through.
