If they're hidden, they can't get light! If they're invisible, the light passes through them and they can't catch it for power!

Ahem... Hidden =/= Invisible. They're there, just not seen onscreen.

 

What we mean by hidden is that the player can't see them from his/her point of view. Doesn't mean they can't get light.

 

Then where are the wires for the power?
The doors are the only obvious openings for them, and you pass all of them.

Um... hello!? The island is a big giant rock so if there's solar panels on the surface of the Island, just put wires leading directly into the rock!

It's not completely hidden like not being able to see it, but it is hidden.

 

Because of war. No one wanted to be king of the island.

 

Also, if it's not hidden, then how come it went unnoticed by the masses of humans on the surface for so long?
