I've been working on the light engine for Tess 2 a bit. Note that these maps/gifs are just for demonstration purposes, as the old maps won't appear in Tess 2 at all.

I learned how to make the playback speed for music and sfx variable (might be useful later).

P.S. Why is unluckyrabbit.ogg from Rip in the game-files? AFAIK it's not used in-game.
Did you play the tutorial? Its music track is called "Tale of the Unlucky Rabbit", which sounds like the file you are referring to. The tutorial is optional from the getgo, so you may not have heard it because you skipped it. I'm not in a place where I can verify what that file is though. (On mobile)

I must have forgotten to take it out of the folder when making the game. I'm surprised that's gone unnoticed for this long.

What did you use to edit the scripts in Tess/Rip?
Notepad. But they're compiled into a condensed format with a special program that Noxid and I wrote.

Can you un-condense them?
It probably wouldn't be hard to write a decompiler for them, since it's a pretty simple format. But I don't really have any reason to, as I have the source files.

If you keep the new string/text the same length as the original, it should work fine.
