This actually make Linux look good. Not something I thought I'd say today. I applaud thee.

It's not really a "linux" thing, it's more of a "desktop environment" thing

You can make linux look and act like windows really closely with the desktop enviorment XFCE or KDE, It's like windows, but with a better settings menu that actually is laid out well.
I'm just running a tiling window manager (called i3), It's basically a desktop where you don't have to use the mouse to navigate anything (except programs that use the mouse of course).
I also don't recommend running a tiling window manager if you're not doing terminal heavy stuff and/or aren't doing server/network management or software development.

r/unixporn is a really neat place to check out if you want to see a lot of other desktop environments. I mean, when it's open source, the environment is basically 100% customization.

KDE is really pretty looking and its very customizable I usually use a mate styled layout(two panels one on top and one on the bottom).
I would switch back to linux if the broadcom drivers didn't suck(b43-fwcutter), WiFi signal is so inconsistent and doesn't work half the time so old macs are terrible on Linux due to the lack of good wifi drivers

I completely replaced my windows shell with something called sharpenviro (which is very customizable) and it works great

Do what I did and make it the WinXP default wallpaper.

Linux partition desktop, mostly clean. Background changes between screenshots of Celeste and BotW, and a couple CS things as well.

I also use PyCharm! Although I'm pretty new to the language and Linux in general. It actually took me like half an hour to figure out how to install and use it. Gotta start somewhere I guess lol.

I work as backend developer and we're using Python for our current projects, so I've been using PyCharm for a while now. AS COVID has us doing remote work, I work from my linux partition and then later reboot to windows if I just wanna game or make music :p
