@ Noxid: Same as GaC said basically. Some of the first ones weren't very good, but TechnoFunk, Something and especially Requiem are much better. USSR is great, so you can definitely copy well :D

@ Cyowoof: TURN THE DRUMS DOWN. And it sounds too beepy at the moment. Maybe slow it down and add in some melody.

@ Kuro: I can hear some potential in that. You suck at making bad stuff :)

@ GaC: WTF?!

...It sounds perfect for WTF Story ._. Quite long too.

Hate to be hating on you DT, but I'd have to disagree with this part. The USSR by Slagsmalsklubben is quite a bit different from noxid's version. Noxid messed up a bit with the opening notes (he goes D-highD-highC-highD-C-highD-highC-highD etc when it's actually just notes on each chord structure, D-A-F-D-C-G-E-G etc).

To better show you what I mean, listen to the first 5 seconds of this (original song).

Then listen to noxid's version.

And for just a bit more clarification, here's what those first 5 seconds should sound like: USSR.org

The rest of noxid's version has some other note messups too, but I won't go into further detail.

Also, this is not at all an attack against noxid, I've told him this before when he first showed me this org. I'd just like to know if DT can understand why his remake doesn't fit the original USSR, or if (sadly) DT is tonedeaf.

But yea noxid has some potential, unlike some of the other orgs I've seen.

[Edit]: Oh and ty for the comment on WTF-story's main theme :D.

I didn't listen to the original, I just thought it sounded good >_>
Now I listen the difference is obvious, but I still like the org, although it sounds a bit out of key <_< Mostly I thought the drums were a big improvement over the other stuff.
Didn't have to rant about it v_v

Lol, I thought that might be the case. But when someone remakes something, they should be true to the original a bit, right?

Lol, I'm sure you do. Just want you to know what a good remake is.
It was like 8 in the morning, and I was rushing to school, so I probably didn't need to rant really. But still, I just have an incredible need for remakes to be like the original.

Well, they should be like the original to an extent, although if they're too much like the original than it's not really a remake is it?

IMO....
I think you're confusing the terms remake and remix. A remake's goal is to try to be like the original, with some (or no) differences. I'd call this a remake, although it's an example of an extreme version of a remake. A remix will take the song's original melodies and chords and will mix them up/present them in a new way, and will sometimes add more melodies and solos (or even chord structures). A remake can be a remix, but it does not have to be. A remake can be something as simple as a cover of a song.

And why haven't you listened/comment on the theme I made cheezey :(?

Ah, good point...

And I have listened to it, but I haven't commented 'cause it's not fresh in my mind and right now I'm at school and I don't have orgmaker [OFFTOPIC](plus the librarian is really bitchy about audio from computers, even if a bunch of people are talking and there's just a little audio on one of the computers, she'll complain about the computer audio rather than the talking even though the talking is much louder/more distracting)[/OFFTOPIC] and my computer is really shitty so sometimes it's too much of a pain in the ass to restart my browser after listening to an org which is essentially why I a lot of time often elapses between the posting of an org and my commenting on said org.

Anyway, as I remember, you're song was pretty sweet although a bit long for a title screen song (since usually people don't take the time to listen to the whole thing) unless you plan on using it later in the mod in which case the length is fine. In any case, I do remember that it was good enough that I listened to it more than just once when I first heard it, which is saying something

Since everyone had such relatively nice things to say compared to what I was thinking in my head, I've made another little song. This one's nicer than the old ones, mostly thanks to some lessons in music structure from GIRakaCHEEZER.

Lost in Paradise

@Safu: I have no idea what guess5 is, but corridor sounds cool. Good stuff

@Cavan: Yeah you're allowed to do that on this thread. And MM3 sounds okay, but I have no way of comparing it to the original since i never played mega man 3. And having a wait of 16 is just insane, I'd recommend using 32 if you must.

@Noxid: Yeah, sounds way better this time. Good job.

@Gir: I listened to your WTF theme again so it's more fresh in my mind now. And it was really excellent :D. It seems to fit the feel of WTF story extremely well. I feel like I'm already enjoying your mod!

@Saf: Nice job! Out of curiosity, could you post the song that you said inspired your second one (CityOne by Xaser)? It'd be neato to compare!

@Mr. C: A WAIT VALUE OF SIXTEEN ARE YOU FUCKING OUT OF YOUR MIND!?!? In any case, I don't know what this song was supposed to sound like because my shitty computer just can't keep up with that insane speed, so it sounded totally garbled to me :(. Still, that doesn't mean it's a bad song. I would do what GIRaka said and change the value to 32 and make everything half as far apart, so it would sound the same.

@Nox: Yup, nice job with Lost in Paradise (and your other ones, too; I don't think I ever got around to commenting on them :o). While you may not have experience with music, that doesn't mean you don't have talent. In fact, you do seem to have a feel for aural aesthetics, although sometimes your harmonies don't work really well but that's something that will come with experience.

Wow, I made this in an hour and twenty minutes, and it's my favorite of all the others I've made... It's a little short, but I might extend it later.

@cheese: My song is pretty different from it; Besides, his is cooler.
I'm pretty sure I got it off the ftp, but I dunno where it went, so
I'll just upload it myself to mediafire:

...Then again, it IS the title screen music for Schism...
I'm sure you have it, right?

@ Mr Cavan: The timing goes completely out after bar 40, I can barely hear what's going on.

@ Noxid: Track 4 isn't consistent over the first 3 bars, it'll sound better if you fix them up to match the first bar. I think it might sound better with a more upbeat/consistent drum beat too, otherwise it's quite good.

@ Safu: I rike! It has a really authentic sound to it. It should be stolen and used in something, pronto.

@Safusaka: Yup, that is one of ur better ones I'd say. And lol, I'd agree with DT except that I think you used drums that aren't compatible with CS :)

@Mr. Cavan: Yes, that most definitely is better, good job! The only problem I hear is that the beat seems to get kinda lost in measures 8-10, but other than that, good job.
