• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

"know sense" rly? Usually deliberate internet misspelling are sposed to make things shorter (ie, the third and ninth words of this post).

I have taken a look back at my old works and found one i thought could have done better. And so I begin once again on my quest to actually finish a song xD

Who ever guess's the song before bar 6 gets ten points :p not that you can tell me and I would believe it:p:p

I have two different version. An Echo (with panning) and no Echo (no panning). Which ones better?

No Echo

Echo

Rawr im the king of starting and not finishing his songs!!! heed my call!!!!:D

They don't sound all that different to be honest, the one with panning sounds a lil bit deeper, but not enough to be all that noticable when playing the two. The panning would be much more distinct if I was using headphones tho...

Go with the panning one though. In my experience, it's shown that people like panning rather than the absence of panning.

Yup the panning is good stuff as long as it's not overdone (which it, in this case, isn't). And I tried to guess what song it was before bar 6, and I think it's one of ur boss themes? It was in the same key (D minor) and if I remember correctly had the same voices, tempo, and somewhat similar melody/harmony

why do you have pretty much a sped up version "eh..." after the first 6 bars?

sorry, the beginnings really good, it just took me by surprise, that's all. ;) (not being musically talented, I can't really say anything more descriptive, but it sounds like it's building up to something. don't make the rest of the song calm and tranquil)
and it is totally speeded up, whether you like it or not.

Lace I'm going to point this out to you then be done with it.

Both songs have a tempo of 128. Both of the melody's have average of 4 beats per note. The only thing that's changed so far is the beginning, when the melody starts, and what would be the left hand if you were to play this on the piano.

Here's a new org I'm working on for WTF-story...
Forest Temple

Most of you should recognize it, but incase you're an unlucky soul who's never played that game, then it's based off of this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KUXX9T8Cm4

It took a little time to get that main part to sound right, since it's an interesting bit of percussion.

As usual, comments and such are appreciated.

OooooooooooooooooooooT. I haven't played it, but I like the org. The sound is quite different to the original, but this is a good thing and you totally shouldn't change it. 8-bit makes everything sound better :)

I'm feeling bored and listless, so I'm gonna throw my songs at ya.

A short description of each:
8bitduels: Just a short little thing I did for fun.
TechnoFunk: Another "for fun" piece, this one's a bit longer.
Adventure: The second piece I made with the intention of putting it into a mod. Not much has come of it.
Requiem:The first piece I finished, it's supposed to be kinda sad but I think it gets lost somewhere along the way.
Something: Just a little something :p
USSR: This one's actually a remake of a song by the Swedish group "Slagsmalsklubben", link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sP-Cka71NjU
Note the lack of sounding like the original >.<

Not bad, not bad at all...

Great job, Noxid, you certainly have an ear for music.

Made one of my own, kind of a preview for a future mod.

It's called Night Town, hope you like it!

I've heard people who have no musical talent, and believe you are not one of them. Good stuff, you just need to learn how to add-on to your song a bit more to fill the void, like percussion and bass/supporting parts.
