I've made another medley (my 9th).

The songs used:
From Willow and the Storm: The World Over, Young Adventurer
From Noxid's Music-Making Game: Garrity, Phenylalanine
From Cave Story: The Way Back Home
By KuroKun (not in a mod): Starry Nights
By Volley (not in a mod, yet): Frigid Frantic

For you newer forum members who aren't familiar with my medleys, basically what I do is I take 7 organya songs from either this thread, Cave Story, or a Cave Story mod, and I do an improvisation on the piano which incorporates all of the songs. The others are scattered throughout this thread, but most of them can be found here

 

Listened up til the end of garrity.
It's awesome so far, but everything seems much, much quieter than it should be for some reason.

Transitions seemed smoother than they were in your past remixes, but I'm prolly hallucinating again.

 

eh here is my first attempt at the forest theme from Super Mario RPG. I know I still have to add the violin accompniment, still working on that now.

That's freakin awesome XD Though it seems like Frigid Frantic was maybe a little too Frantic...

 

@cultr1: Hey, it sounds really similar to the original. Nice job. The only thing I would suggest is varying the volume envelope a bit more, to add a bit of that tremolo-ish feel.

I really didn't want to complicate the tune, since it really aim's only to play as a somber, mechanical feel, and not much more. I'll probably be adjusting the volume of whole deal some time later, but right now, i'm just laying down some "feel" for my tracks. Once I get down the whole entire sequence of scenes, required music and such, I'll go through and make them all very consistent, much like the consistency in the main Cave Story's tracks.

In a nutshell, I've been finding many new instruments that I like their sound, and would like to maintain that feel throughout the entire mod, rather than skip around.

This isn't to say that the whole mod will have elevator music, but rather that it will all center around a main theme, changing according to the situation.

 

Here's one I've been working on a little bit, though it's nowhere near perfect, I could do a whole lot more with drums and the volume envelope to clean up some of the square edges on the chords towards the end, and I'll probably wind up extending the song sooner or later, but right now i'm in a blocked sorta mentality, so I'll give it a rest for a while and maybe get back to spriting some of the NPCs, enemies, or tilesets for the mod
