• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

Oh, you can have mine.

I didn't even mess with the contents like usual! It's just like it was when I got it. I think. You should note that it says in the readme that you can't use ORGs that are much larger than the originals; I do believe this to be false.

How do you produce a flanger effect on an instrument?
I don't know how to demonstrate...:(
EDIT:I know how now, like when the music changes from a muffled tone to electronically distorted sounding.

Well, organya doesn't allow you to do fancy effects like flanger/phaser/wah/distortion/what-have-you. There is, however, a way you can sort of simulate tone change effects. Have two different instruments of the two different tones you want and have them play the same notes as each other. Then use volume control to make it so that as one fades out, the other fades in, giving the effect of a gradual shift from one tone to the other. Does that answer your question?

Okey doke, one of my Metroid mixes is finally ready for Prime time. I present to you: Kraidor.

It feels like there's just a little something I could add, but for the most part it's done, barring any minor tweaking later. A far cry from when I was trying to sound out notes and failing, for sure!

Sounds pretty decent o:

Only things that irk me are some slight balance issues with some of the tracks (not really too much of an issue, but I can't really hear the bass well, should up that a bit) and your choice of percussion seems a bit weird (and a bit too quiet).

But good jobs.

Thank you very much.

If I'm thinking about the right thing, I tried making the volume higher for that, but it ended up kind of clashing with the rest of the song, as did the "chorus" equivalents in the background of the main melody. It was hard to find a decent balance, but it couldn't hurt for me to keep trying until I get it.

As for the drums, that was mostly my attempt to try to make it more original; I could amp up the volume a bit more, thinking about it. And maybe fixing these things'll help me figure out what it's missing.

Again, thank you.

Since Lace is unable...

That's pretty good, and oddly familiar. {Probably just similar rhythms...}
Not much to critique on, at least from my point. Sounded great.

Thanks. It probably sounds somewhat familiar due to a combination of some cryptoamnesia on my part, and the fact that track 2 was inspired by a song I heard on the radio earlier in the day.

@Noxid: It's a good song, however I don't like it. Or rather, I don't love it. It's okay, just sounds a little slow and boring-ish. Didn't give me the "wows".

Here's one I made recently, based off of a Slagsmalsklubben song, and to be used in the first area of chapter 5 in the mod.

He who chews.org

Here's a link to a youtube video of the original song:Han Som Tuggar Med öppen Mun Dör

@Nox: Yeah, I kinda agree with Gir. On the other hand, I can imagine it being pretty sweet in your mod. It's just not something I'd really want to listen to just by itself.

@Gir: downloading now...

My attempt at Sonic & Knuckles - Ice Cap Zone...

pretty much copied from an Midi (one note at a time...) with some huge modifications

http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=93cbdf7c782620ff61043150aaada1cc

oh, and this is also my first post here :)

edit: also a note, I cant seem to get measures 8 to 16 to sound as it should. forgive me if it sounds strange :p

Pretty impressive for your first org (even if it's just sequenced from a midi). There are some signs that it's your first org ever, but still impressive use of the volume envelope on your first go.

I know this song quite well, so I've taken the liberty to slightly tweak and/or fix your org, which is: icecap zone2.org

Also if you're going to upload files like these and such, I recommend you use a different hosting site like mediafire or esnips.

This is good. I've been meaning to do this for a while, but you've gone and done it first. Its a bit slow, but it seems to suit it. Keep it up!

@GIR

Downloading...

GIR: thanks for the comment and the fixup sounds interesting (it seems a bit fast, but its still good :) )

nameisnotname: just because I made one dont mean you cant also make one of your own :) there are so many different variations of that theme in midi and mod alone. Too many to count. And some darn good ones too! So why cant we have several variations in org format? Go for it! And thanks for the comment :p

I haven't posted here in awhile, but I've been steadily working on some different projects with Orgmaker, so I thought I should post one of my more final songs. It was originally made in Garageband as a techno/dance song, so I did my best in porting it over, but it lost much of the original's integrity. I'm trying to fix it up so that it can properly fit somewhere in the game I'm making though.

Dance!:

I have modified and fixed up most of my older orgs that I've already posted here as well, and have a few more that are pretty close to completion. I'll post those when they're ready. Hope you enjoy it!

I like it. The transition into measure 41 seemed too sudden, but otherwise the song's pretty good.

Well, it seems to be a theme, so here's my version of Ice Cap.
Made completely by ear. Took me about three days so, I hope it was time well spent.

Very nice. I liked it a lot, and it sounds quite similar to the original track.
