Since this thread is specifically for orgs I only uploaded the songs that are in organya format. Through the Clouds (which Lace called combobreaker due to the text of the download link), Doukutsu Death Dance, and Soldier's Prayer are all non org CS remixes which JetHawk will presumably post on some website around Christmas time. I have some other music besides just the medleys which is scattered around the forums, and at some point I might get off my lazy ass and gather it up and post it all in one spot, but don't hold your breath. I think all my MediaFire files are public, so you should be able to just navigate them by clicking the link I posted earlier and clicking "go to previous folder" to see what's outside of that one particular folder.

I don't have an original bone in my body. Can you tell?

I completed my Metroid .orgs, this time using .MIDIs so I could make them sound right. Actually, the versions that are just like the original Metroid are done; I still have to make unique versions I can claim as mine own remixes, a.k.a. Jimmy Hart Versions. Enjoy, and feel free to use any of them in a mod; just credit me somewhere, please.

(Kraid was deceptively easy when I stripped it of the additions in the Zero Mission version; Brinstar was more complex than I thought. And I couldn't find an instrument that sounded exactly like Norfair, but this is a'ight.)

Here to show off another:

http://www.mediafire.com/?zndmqo55w2g This one is polished more, found a matching wave for track 2 in the first part of the song. Feel free to add this to the Tribute Site in 'Fan Works', andwhy.

Mr X Theme from Megaman 6 by Capcom. Two versions, my arrangement and the one with NES music restrictions. Pay attention to track 4 sound as you play the ORGs through ORGMaker.

These are my first two works in OrgMaker. I like both of them, especially the first one there, which was inspired by Cave Story music of course. I've never been good at names for songs :p. I suggest listening to "the_buildup" a few times, because it gets more engrossing every time you listen to it. I could definitely use some tips on how to improve though!

Anyways, I have a few questions about the .org file. Is there any easy way to convert over to a different format such as .wav or .mp3? Or is there a way to implement the music into a game using the .org file itself? My friends and I are shopping around to see what the best music maker around is, and I really like the sound of this one, but I'm not seeing any easy way to convert the songs on Google anywhere. Any help would be much appreciated, and I hope you enjoy my songs!

That missing converter...

Well, there's something like this, or you can record the sound as the song's playing, using something like Audacity.
Yeah, not too easy, but there's no converter that goes directly between the .org format and something like .mp3 or .wav.

Hmmm, okay. Well, I'll try the method in the link there soon, we'll see how far I get. Thanks for the help!

Those are some pretty good orgs there, you have a good ear (since it doesn't look like you were staying in any one scale in the inspiration one, but it worked).

And like Lowell said the best method would be to make an mp3 from it by recording it directly with audacity or some other program.

And if you're looking for a music maker I'd suggest you look into trackers. I currently use psycle, which works well with the free VSTs I've downloaded.

Thank you for your kind words! I'm getting psycle right now to check it out.

Edit: Tried out Psycle, looks like I'll have to get used to the format. This whole scene is new to me.

@stopsign: yeah, those are some pretty nice songs. With some practice, you could be quite good I bet.

@fluff: the file you uploaded seems to be corrupt.

@everyone:
I have made medley number 8!

The songs used:
From King - Strife and Sacrifice: Emerald Caves, Cthulhu's Theme
From WTF Story: Light, Reactor
From Cave Story: Eyes of Flame
From The Wrath of Revorshkenahl: The Deranged Warlock
From Safusaka's Hell mod: Running Hell

I dunno if I've said this before, but I do so enjoy your medleys. You must have some way you can record them directly from your keyboard, hm? My keyboard's instruction manual tells me I could do the same, but the MIDI cord's been lost since goodness knows how long ago. Not that I'm that great of a player anyway >.>

Yeah, I record directly from my keyboard. Doing so doesn't require a midi cord for me. My keyboard has a USB port where I can put a flash drive and save midi files to the flash drive. I dunno if your keyboard has that feature though.

You cannot right-click and click 'Save Target As.' You must click on the link to open a pop-up. Pop-up blocker must be disabled or overriden with Ctrl+Alt.

Try the download again.

No, I mean the download was successful, and I can double click on the file "ORGMRX.zip" and it brings up a window with the two files "Mr X (arranged).org" and "Mr X (NES restrictions).org" but when I say "extract all" it's all like "unsupported compression method" or something. I've tried both Windows' built in zip extractor and 7-zip and they both don't work. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yeah, I just gave it a try and windows told me there was an "unspecified error". can see the things, but can't extract or run them.

Then I tried 7-zip, and it worked just like that. I right-clicked and selected "Open Archive" first, then extracted.

It seems I am using a BETA version of 7-zip. Version 9.10. You might want to use this program to unzip. Download at the Home Page.

EDIT: Noxid, you have posted before me!

Hammah time

Really, that tune is from Donkey Kong, but I know what you mean when you say SSB.
Pretty good, practically sounds exactly the same.
Although, because it's so dang short, it gets annoying within a minute or two....
