Living Waterway ... 7.5/10

Pretty good song, huge contrast from the Geothermal song, and I think it really fits the name Living Waterway! It's nice that Cave Story had so many different songs, even if they weren't used for very long; like Plant. I just knew there was more to that area... and yet there wasn't :p
My minus, is that it really is a Huge contrast real quickly, from the dark events of the Core area to the interesting light sound of the Waterway... But, then again it fits the whole Cave Story feel, bouncy; not too serious for too long... :D

but thanks for the plug x-calibar
I liked the song plus when I saw Moonsong was the next song to be rated, I knew I had an opportunity for advertisement ;) *Got Item!* Woohoo!

Next song... Balcony!

Balcony...eh 6.5/10
It's repetitive and the less memorable of the two "outside" tunes.
How about Meltdown 2? (PS why the "2"?)

i actually really kinda liked balcony... go figure ;)

meltdown 2 is a nice one, I really like the bridge. The rest of it is pretty average in my book, but i like the bridge a lot. let's go 7/10

here's another repetitive one that i like! I wanna rap to it.

Quiet!

Okay, Balcony is good. But Moonsong is better.
Quiet is good too. I've always like progressive stuff so this may be a bit bias:
9/10

Hows about Tyrant? I like it cause it really shows the evilness of the Docter.

8/10, due to pure dangerousness, I say.

Balcony was great though... a perfect set-up for the final stages, I think. So mysterious and unexpected for the level before the boss (Devil May Cry, anyone?). :p

Last Cave, now. :p

Ooooh, I call dibs

10/10, specifically because I like it slightly more then the myriad of 9.5's and 9's. Seriously, this is my second favourite track in the game (after Mischievous Robot.) I have no idea why, though >.> I can't even think of what genre it would fit in (is 'curious' a genre?), and I've never heard anything like it as a 'final dungeon' theme before. It fits the area perfectly though, and helps take your mind off how grueling it is :p

Pulse is I'd say about an 8/10.
It serves its purpose as the story progressing song but its repetitive. I like the, what would you call it, smoky effect?

EDIT: Whoops, forgot to name a song. The Way Back Home?

EDITEDIT: Come on, anybody?

The Way Back Home... I'll score it a 8.2/10
It's a pretty nice ending song. Fits the whole Cave Story conclusion feeling. Nothing out of the ordinary I think, but oh! and I do like how it transitions into...

Mischievous Robot!

Sorry, won't happen again, uh, sir/ma'am!?
But yeah, I like safety. I'd say an um 8.75? Bouncy and happy. A good fit for an "inside a house" theme.
How about Jenka 1. Do do dodo dodo do.

I found the "remixed" version of the track [Jenka 2] much better.

My fave - Scorching back. It suits the EC 2 perfectly, and you're really filled with the vengance on your first playthrough. Closely followed by the boss track, Eyes of Flame.

Scorching Back is good, but I heard it way too much. Egg Corridor2 was an evil level. 7.0
Eyes of Flame is one of the better boss tracks. Goes good with explosions. :p Give it a 9.0

Moonsong. Or the remix project version, Mimiga Vibe.

It's great - it really seems like something that belongs in an Anime soundtrack. There are very few remixes that convey the original feeling of the song being remixed, let alone enhance it. However, this one does both. 8.5 out of 10

Geothermal is my favorite song in the game, since it conveys such a strong sense of mystery. (The music in the core chamber before you're actually fighting the core, for those of you who do not know.)

8.75. Not my absolute favorite but a favorite none the less. You're completely right about the mystery thing. I was like this on me first playthrough:
"Hmm, let's see, it's too quiet, but, whatev. Set switches go through doors... GIANT MONSTER FIGHT!" :D

How about Opression, the GIANT MONSTER FIGHT music?

7/10

It's good but not best.

Yeah, about Mimiga Vibe. It's much more heart-pumping than Moonson. It's good and was my favourite untill very recently when i decided that Escape Route and Island of Eden were better.

My CSRP track - Island of Eden

Uh... I think we're only allowed to use the songs in game, not remixes. Though, I'm not completely sure.
