The knife strikes the stone and a horrible shriek is heard.
A small scaled creature flashes red in agony as the knife has sliced through its tail.

The creature wails and spits a thick purple ooze into your eye in its death throws. A short moment later you fall to the floor convulsing in a fevered fit as the creatures spit corrodes your eye. Through your fever, you hear horrible whisperings.

What in God's name is a hidden voice? You can't see sound normally, so how can it be hidden any more than it normally is?

In a rogue-like game we can see what he is saying, but do you know what his voice sounds like?
