About that frozen-in-bubble thing: There is a number of reasons for Misery and Balrog not frozen in the sequel even though they would be so in the first movie:
- Has the Crown been destroyed before? It could take a while to be recreated, therefore giving them weeks, maybe months to live before being hibernated again.
- Maybe the hibernation generally takes some time to occur.
- But this is I think the best explanation: Ballos can be considered as their master too, can't he? And if not, he can just recreate the Crown and don it. Now, Ballos has been imprisoned, and therefore unavailable, for a really long time (the entire time of the island's flight, to be more precise). But now he's free. That means those two in fact do have a master, which in turn means they do not have to be frozen.
