Oh I forgot to mention. Welcome to the Movie Script thread and this forum. We need more brainstorming around here.
If you mean me, then... Thank you very much, I'll do everything I can to help you with this project.

Oh, do you take ideas about the sequel yet? You know, with that fanfic there...

Can we use it as the basis for the movie. CGI simplifies 2d animation, just draw the anime movie over the top of it, using the 3d models as guides. Think of the 3d models as a sketch with the 2d drawings as the final product, except on a frame-by-frame basis. Lets use subtitles until we get some proper voice acting. Basic models will much faster and will be a better contribution to a 2d anime-style movie.

Won't come out as good as hand-drawn you know. And I think we will have a better time finding two artists and one 3d modeler (hand-drawn 2d on basic 3d models) to finding ten 3d modelers and one artist (cell shaded 3d). Just find your artists via deviantart, preferably those who have cave story fan art in their gallery. There is more than enough cave story fan art in deviantart so you should not have a problem finding someone if you ask around. We need the script and the basic 3d model animation first.

Do you have any voice acting experience?

About that frozen-in-bubble thing: There is a number of reasons for Misery and Balrog not frozen in the sequel even though they would be so in the first movie:
- Has the Crown been destroyed before? It could take a while to be recreated, therefore giving them weeks, maybe months to live before being hibernated again.
- Maybe the hibernation generally takes some time to occur.
- But this is I think the best explanation: Ballos can be considered as their master too, can't he? And if not, he can just recreate the Crown and don it. Now, Ballos has been imprisoned, and therefore unavailable, for a really long time (the entire time of the island's flight, to be more precise). But now he's free. That means those two in fact do have a master, which in turn means they do not have to be frozen.

Hey, you can have Misery wonder about "Why the hell aren't we in those bubbles already?" (and add Balrog's dumb response).

Hmm. I never considered the crown being destroyed in the game, I don't know why. Interesting.
As for Ballos, yes, exactly. Only he doesn't really need the crown in the sequel because it's even weaker than he is.

That's actually pretty close to what Quote's voice would sound like. Maybe 14-15, but Quote is too small for anything older than that.
Speaking of which, should Quote and Curly's voice be digitized any?

I'm 16. And I have a moderately deep voice. I'll do Kazuma. ;)

Its not just voices, you need to have some decent acting ability for a voice acting role. Are you able to do that?

Just because Quote is small doesn't mean his voice has to be small. I've heard some pretty big voices come out of small people.

It is important to get close to what others would expect the characters to sound like when you are using existing characters that never had voices in the first place.

Atravir has been rather active of late.

To Atravir: Any new script progress?

I second that.

Hey, why don't we just specify voices of all the characters (primary ones, at least)? I can imagine just about every voice, but can't describe them properly, only like: Doctor - that's definitely the one DEEP voice, Toroko - obviously child-sounding, and so on...

^My point exactly. In fact I always thought the Doctor's voice was little and not big, his first form not his second.

You now have no possible voice actors.
My headphones are now fucked up so my mic doesn't work.
Maybe you could get Steven Hawking. I bet he could do a pretty good Quote. :D
Well tell us if your mic gets better okay.
