• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

it doesnt need to be in it, but..... curly remembering everything is a key part of the story, and the ma pignon is a key element coming up to that part, so i think it should be in the movie, but we need to find a better way of doing it :confused:
Didn't Atravir already have a solution for the memory loss? I remember him saying so.

If you want the simple solution, just have curly not have amnesia. Quote finds her, and she has her memories back. Problem solved.

Too large a change from the game, thus bringing back the issue I mentioned before.

Changes like that are things fans complain about in movie adaptions, I think. It'd be better to either keep it accurate, or leave it out. [referencing Ma Pignon]
She shouldn't have her memories back until she's in the Plantation, I believe.

...unless that's what you meant by that message in the first place (she has her memory back when Quote finds her in the Plantation), in which case, that could work. XP;;

The memory party is very important to the story. That's where all the loose ends about Q and C's pasts are tied.

Nothing but misinterpretation (woah, that word is long) there.

Atravir meant that by the time Quote finds Curly in the Plantation her memories would have returned, until then she would have amnesia. Have a look at the script and it is OBVIOUS that she has amnesia.

... which would leave it unexplained how her memories returned. Remember, she's a machine not human, a bump on the head would not be enough.

I dunno. People kick computer boxes to remind them of what they should be doing. :rolleyes:

And a talking mushroom will?

We can't really use the mushroom, it just wouldn't work. The only other thing I can come up with is maybe Quote brings curly to Sue's mom or Itoh, and they pop her head open (to the disgust of Quote), and repair whatever is causing the amnesia.

Taking Curly to Sue's mom actually sounds like it could work. Other than that, I say we stick with a shortened Ma Pignon encounter, or go with "she suddenly regains her memory." I think Sue's mom is the best idea so far, though.

I don't really see a point to having Ma Pignon appear at all, but it'd be worth some thinking to have a talking blue mushroom fighting a killer robot ^^

I'd say have Itoh be the one to look at her, he's supposed to be the super-genius-engineer after all. Though then you have to explain why they can't do the same for Quote.
