Yuo. I've been doing it for an hour now and the most special thign I've found is floating islands.

 

I love Minecraft. Honestly, the best game ever. It's really too bad all the server admins are douches. Ellis.

 

I played the game again for the first time in a little while. All I have to say is FUCKING MOB SPAWNERS! Other than that, it was nice to play again.

 

I played the free version of this game for about ten hours a week ago, and built a roof over the top of everything. What a horrible, horrible, waste of time. It was cool though.

 

If only I had the money/computer to run this game. D: It seems really awesome.

 

Ollie, my computer is eight years old, and it played the free version fine. You should try it. Also, eleven dollars isn't much.

 

Really Lace, if I can't run Flash games, I can't run Minecraft. And besides, I tried!

 

Current price is 15 Euros, which converts to about 20 USD. Still not that much for such a good game, but just so you know it may have been a little more that you were expecting.

 

Minecraft is indeed a very cool game. However, even when with full iron gear, I can't seem to be able to defeat more than, say 3 mobs before I get utterly PWNED.

And I always find lots of mobs because I LOVE mining. Where the dark caves are.

I always carry 3-4 pieces of cooked pork around with me, that's usually enough health the survive any amount of damage I'd take before I can head home.

I heard 1.6 is coming out this week.
All I know for sure is that we'll be getting Nether in Mutiplayer without the need for plugins {Hoping that means it now takes less strain on servers or something}, but I'm hoping for pistons; my current cannon has a habit of exploding instead of firing...
Anyone know of anything else that might be added?

Well you could find anything, but nothing particularly special happens just for wandering far from the start point.

Actually, if you can make the 820 realtime hour journey {Hey, only 102 in the Nether} to the 'edge' of a world {Or just cheat like most people and teleport there}, you'll reach the Far Lands.
Crazy crap happens.

1.6 will include SMP Nether, maps (walk around and they fill out), hatches and a load of bug fixes. Notch showed us a screenshot of grass, but didn't say if or when it's being implemented. Pistons won't be in this update.

Hatches? I haven't been following development lately and a scan of recent twitter brought up nothing, care to elaborate?

They're horizontal doors. They don't let water through, either.

I built my monster farm too low and the bastards are always clogging it up.
Not to mention they love to infest the minecart tunnel I've been trying to extend to 1 KM for the achievement, they spawn even in light...
