You can do it with any weapon. Even the Bubbler.

Breezing through Hell is taking at least as long as learning how to breeze through all the rest of the game did.

It's been a fun game to revisit the last few days, but there will be nothing left but to retire to a mountaintop somewhere after finally mastering it.

I keep on going through hell, its fun. My problem is that I can't beat Ballos... at all...
I'm usually at 19 - 28 health when I get to him, about halfway through the fight, I have to use a lifepot. After the first form, the second form annihilates me. I get so confused in the fight...
I use the Spur exclusively during the fight, trying to get on his eye and shooting away(Maybe even a charge shot here and there). But everything is so chaotic, with the bats, the dodging and worrying about hitting the troublesome spikes on the sides of the room. I usually die when I just beat away only a measly quarter of his health.

Yay! Finally beat Ballos with the missile spamming strategy on the second and fourth forms! After three tries! Damn, I think I'm getting good at hell after all those times. Maybe I should've taken the watch item so I can see my time. Oh well, too late. Maybe next playthrough.
I got killed on the third form twice, but then I beat it after some lucky charged shots the third time. Then I used the cheap strategy to kill the forth form quickly.
Awesome ending.
Anyway... I think I'll take a break from Cave Story. Once it comes to the WiiWare, I'll buy it and play that version.
