Wow! Talk about luck! I accidently stumbled upon a great Cave Story Tribute site by the miracles of google! Thank the search-engine gods for this joyous event! I knew that there was something wrong on the web when there wasn't any Cave Story fansites out there! But now there is! So everything is right in the world! Huzzah!

Anyway, enough joking around, I simply love this game! Its been two months since I've beaten it and I occasionally still play it till this day. I had my doubts when I first read the review in 1up's Freeloader feature, but once after I downloaded the game and it's translator I was hooked! Its simply a charming little game that reminded of the good ol' days when games were simple and unnoticed by the majority of the public.

Oh! By the way, it was pretty tricky trying to post a new topic in this board due to the usergroup thing. Maybe you should have a notice about it?

Hi there. Welcome to the forums. ^^ I'm glad you could find your way here and it is nice to know that that I could make a Cave Story fansite that you are pleased with. I wanted to at least try and make one to accomodate the evergrowing fandom of Cave Story and hopefully encourage new fans to play the game as well.

Cave Story is certainly one of the best games I've played in quite a long while and you're right, it is so simple but at the same time it caters to the nostalgic wants and needs of many of the old school games we all grew up with. I think that is what gives it so much charm.

Sorry to hear you had some trouble with the setup process of the usergroups. You haven't been the first and we are working on making the process easier for those who are first time posters here. It does talk about the usergroups during the registration process, but I think that there are many forum visitors who just aren't quite used to this usergroup setup process. We might actually be the only forum online that does it come to think of it since our forum is split between four affiliate websites. We may end up changing it in the future, but for now it is there to make the thread subscriptions easier for those who only wish to participate in one or two of the website forums.

Enjoy your stay here and if you have any suggestions of anything to add to the site, be sure to speak up. ^_^

Yep, this was the first thread this forum ever received. ;) I still remember the joy of knowing that people were finally checking out such an incredible game through a site that took considerable time to put together.

Eh, not really. I guess it depends solely on whether or not we deem them to be either really annoying, too large in size or inappropriate. Other than that we're a pretty relaxed forum. Though the optimal size for sigs would be around 450 w X 250 h.

I like your sig, kinda reminds me of the expression that the Raving Rabbids from Rayman: Raving Rabbids make. Only thing I might request is if you can possibly slow down the animated frame rate just a hair. Right now there are so many images and so many flashes between them that it could cause a epileptic caesar. lol

Nah, don't worry about it. It's a nice image to look at and it would be a shame if it went unused. : )

I could slow down the framerate for you if you still want to do that.
