This is new. I'm not sure if it'll work or not. Well, I'm making a modding contest. A mini modding contest. Here's the info!

Spoiler: General Information

This is a rather small modding contest, so I don't expect you to make something huge. It ends on Sunday, October 29th, 6:00 PM Central Time. You will have about two weeks to make a mod. Whether there's a prize or not hasn't been determined, but once it is, I will post whether or not I decided to add prizes, and edit this post.

Spoiler: Rules

1. You may use any assets from previous mods except for maps.
2. You may update your entry only once after it's posted.
3. You may only submit up to two mods.
4. The mod must have a Halloween theme in some way.
5. Have fun.

I will probably judge the mods myself but if you want to judge you can DM me. Judges can make an entry, but it will not be part of scoring/judging.

Hate to say this but it's usually a good idea to warn people beforehand before suddenly throwing out a 2-week contest.
Like really, this would be the 4th modding contest we would have over the course of the last few months, do we really need another so soon?

I've been talking about in the CSMC for a couple days now, and I think I mentioned it in the CSTSFDG a couple times before I left.

This modcon isn't really a serious thing. Just a fun little event the people in the community can enjoy and make some spooky mods.

Let's all agree to hold off on contests.

Mods themselves are so few and far between, and people are generally encouraged to put a lot of time into their mods, making it the norm to essentially work on one big project rather than making a mod a month.

I see it healthy to have maybe one or two contests a year, bi-annual, but the more you have over the limit the less impact it has and the more people will start to ignore them.

But yeah I agree, I don't mod myself anymore nor do I place a very much amount on it the first place even, but i know how multiple modcons quickly after each other can burn one out.
You want things like modcon to be special, if you do a special thing every day it just becomes not special.

This wasn't exactly a full blown contest. Just a smaller thing where the mods don't need any more than 3 rooms. Oh well, at least I get to keep the 20 dollar prize. We know who the real winner here is.

Nah I bought a ton of Deep Space Waifu trading cards with it and a few gifts on Steam for my friends.
