The two survey participants who chose to remain anonymous live quite close to each other. Their closest airport is Philadelphia International, although one lives in Pennsylvania and the other lives in New Jersey.

I think he's in California, I know he's in the same time zone as me.

Still pretty sure it's me. Seeing as I'm in Southern California and won't travel, "still lives with parents, look at my age."

Cripplechair hasn't taken the survey yet. I already know what time zone he's in.

Of course the cost for me to travel would be extremely preposterous. Everything here costs about three times less than it does in the US, so just buying a ticket and hoping for the best wouldn't cut it.

It depresses me that I may never have a chance to meet some of you, but especialy you WoodenRat. Not because we are the best of buddies, "I'm afraid that spot has been taken" but because I'm just curious about you after the only way of recognizing you this past year is your sprited avatar. This is not a seperation of my choosing, as I said earlier, poor. With some luck I may move from lower-middle class to middle class this year, "due to a totally personal and maybe up for discussion law suit" but even then it is no sure thing...

How will I ever get over my grief?

According to the information I have, we could have a six-person meetup in Pennsylvania, which is pretty close to two members. Lace and WD are close enough to drive to Pennsylvania in a day, so that could make eight if they want to come. They haven't filled out the survey yet.

That was unexpectedly flattering Matt! I never took much thought who I'd want to meet personally, but you'd definately be on top. Anyways if you guys do meet up then at least don't turn into Awkward Fest 2011. Try to keep everyone involved.

Whatever you do just don't try to speak casually. Joke around, scream, show emotions, laugh loudly, but don't just stand there motionless. Hell, this will be one of the most important events in your life. It won't just be a meet up. You won't just be "hanging out" or "chilling". You will be meeting people you've only seen through a glass screen. It will be so transcendent when you think about it. Hell, I'd do anything to get involved in that. But fate is a cruel mistress, for I was born on the other side of the world.

Don't take it literally. I mean that you shouldn't turn it into something boring.

Is it odd that with my friends we do all those things? Especially the screaming.

Hey, don't project your insecurities onto us. There's no way I'd be shy at this kind of event. At the very least I could talk about some of the furry porn I keep with me at all times as a conversation starter.

Now, it looks like everyone who wants to do the survey has done it except Lace who is away at the moment. I know where he lives anyway. The Pennsylvania/New Jersey meet-up I suggested before will involve the most people, so that's what I'm going with for now. The sooner we organize this the better, so:

Of the people who can travel to Pennsylvania*, who cannot go during the school semester? Missing school is hard to do in college, even if it's just a few days. Obviously we'll meet on a weekend, so that's two days of classes you don't have to worry about. If I can, I'll schedule the meet-up for a long weekend, but those are different in every country. Christmas would be a good time to do it if it weren't for all that pesky Christmas business. Also airfare and traffic would be awful.

So basically, what is a good time for you guys?

*I'm going to say Pennsylvania for the sake of brevity, and also because I like it more.

I'm taking a closer look at the data, and if whoever lives in Pennsylvania could PM me, that would be great. If you don't, I guess we'll have to plan the trip without you.

I'm just saying, that it might strike as a surprise that talking about certains topics in real life is different than talking about them on the internet.

Not really.
When I hung out with Ralren last spring break, we talked about all kind of shit, forums or otherwise, and it wasn't really awkward for either of us D:
Just make sure to not to make awkward pauses or drop a conversation without starting another; you don't usually do those things in real life with friends.
Unless your friends have large pauses in their conversations all the time, in which case, talk more.

Oh hells yeah let's do this.
Mebbe we could start a communal fund for people who travel long ways (eg ratty)? Even if only 10 bucks were raised, it would be 10 bucks less they'd have to pay.

Plus it would presumably be more than ten bucks, unless everybody here has a deep seated hatred for unamericans.
