I think you should kill her in zomie form then all the other zomie bodies start coming towards her and she mutates into them and becomes a massive mutant

Well for that to work we would need to use a virus for the cause of the zombies as normal bite zombification is just the process of transforming into a normal zombie there isnt any difference in that. If it were a virus however more concentrated strains of the virus would produce stronger zombies.

Hmm I think were going a bit too deep into this.. Is this game going to be a storylines game? or is it going to be a Zombies clone where there is hardly no story just hords of zombies. Just saying if you spam the player with shit loads of dialouge and story there gunna turn it off. They wanna kill some zombies

Soundslike you guys are coming up with ideas for a story mode. Which is fine if everyone else wants to do it. I don't think anyone's tried to make a horror 8 bit game. I believe I could get behind that, as long as the survival type game we've been talking about is included.

can't tell if you actually meant "In the history of ever" or just with regards to some more narrowly defined scope.

I meantin the modding community. I figured that at some point an 8 bit horror game has been made.

So Nox, what do you think of this so far?

I think I've never played Nazi Zombies so I don't know what sort of precedent there is for plot, but the sprites look pretty good for the most part.

And that's good enough for me. I remember Sweet Home now. Deceased crab was doing an lp of it and I only watched 2 or 3 of them. Now we can work on another. Of coarse this mighht just stay a mini game, Which is totally fine. I don't think there are any mods like this. They all have stories.

If your planning yourself a story mode you might be biting off just a little more than you can chew.. IF you plan on doing a story mode we really need to start pulling it all together and implementing the zombies..
We need to start modding cus at the moment we just have a bucket full of ideas.

Whatever keeps things alive. A horror game would need ALOT o TSC though. Cause in horror games, shit jumps out at you. This means that some of our volunteers can get started on the things they've volunteered for. I'll get started wiith a few basic questions.
Ammo, should it be limited to what you can pick up?
Items, can you have a limited amount in your inventory?
Setting, time and location?
Style of game, does random shit constantly scare you and make you think more, or do you fight them off like they're nothing?

These are all concepts I've seen in zombie games.

What if we did something sort of the reverse of this? For now, we stick to the "X Rounds of survival" Nazi zombies game. That was the original plan, and I'm more up for sticking with that for now, as I imagine coding both the storyline/campaign AND survival mod at the same time would be a bit straining. One thing at a time.

If survival works out well, we can go make a storyline mode, either as a separate mod or with the original survival mod bundled into it. Though I kinda like the idea of the survival mod being a standalone game. It's a bit offbeat, so giving it its own exclusive game instead of making it a minigame is a way of saying "Hey guys! Look what else you can do for a fangame!"

I think the initial survival mode idea is the best. It'd be easier to get that sorted so then if we decide to make a storyline game then we already have the base and engine

Yeah, I was knda hoping people would decide to just do after. It would be much more in depth so this is a good start. But if anyone comes up with anything they can still post it. It can just be referred to later.
As for the actual project, I think some actual ASM needs to get done. Lunersoul, did you want to look up the stuff on weapons hacking? We could get started with the custom weapons mentioned before. Or the knife. I like the knife idea.
