For some reason I can't connect to the server. Yes, MY server. From the same computer the server's on. Investigation is underway.
EDIT: It's also being slower than a kid with Down's Syndrome who got hit with a brick. If this problem persists I'll have to get around to reformatting this thing and start from scratch.
(I was planning on wiping the hard drive anyway.)

@Fab, the server is being slow as hell because of the exp, I believe.
I actually built a pathway connecting the two islands. You can walk from CS's castle to noxid's very large cavern with maximum ease now.ShinyElectricBlueTiger said:

Okay. Someone must collect every last exp orb. And then jump in lava. Lava is the only way to destroy them. This sounds like the plotline to lord of the rings.
EDIT: This will only work if people are still able to get onto the server. If no one can get on, then we must use mc edit.

Of course they de-spawn. It's just the massive number of them that are dropped when a player dies creates a lot of lagg for some people. Not me, though.bobbyis said:

I don't think that's the main problem. The lag doesn't come from the exp, at least not for me. Though I'm still laggy as shit. Might just be lithuanian internet, who knows.

I might convert my old house into a storage cavern, where people can place items inside if they feel like it. People could easily pick up items on the way to those two caverns you said earlier. This could also help the famine that in your island.

That is going to be very useful. The only problem with that it that it's already a hike to go across the ocean, even when on a boat. Maybe that could be where the minecart system could go...Lace said:

The server is not working. It's not laggy, because no one, including me, can join it. Experience orbs are certainly not the problem.
Memory usage is normal, but I'm unable to do anything. For instance, when I type in "stop," it will say "Stopping server..." if I'm LUCKY. Usually it will just sit there being frozen and useless. There's also a high latency between me connecting with a client and the server telling me there was a connection.
If I wipe the computer, we'll still have the map, Backing up a 44 MB file isn't very difficult.

That was my eventual plan. In the middle it goes through an island thingy, which we could use as a station (it is also located about equidistant to my cave as the other places).ShinyElectricBlueTiger said:

As for the starving problem... You can do the same thing you do in real life when you're hungry:
Kill yourself. When you respawn, you'll be well fed.
