I'm definitely getting it now. This sounds like it's much more packed and definitely affordable for a teen compared to CS3D

A decision made by pixel himself if I recall.

You know, I quite honestly find the official translation to be much better, (other than soap being turned into Kool-Aid) and even more so to discover the only other change I didn't like was decided on by Pixel himself.

I've gotten used to the new translation myself...Although I think I still want to go through and grab the best of both worlds and make my own

I recall liking some characters more in both translations... So... ;D

As for bush lands, Mimiga Village, etc... I like to think of it like this :
The names we know, are given by the humans. That or it translates to "Bush land" or "Mimiga Village" in english, but in actuality might be in Mimigish and sound different?

I just got it, and I've come to a problem. I've gone into options and turned off seasonal decoration, but it still shows seasonal decoration.:confused:

Does it turn off if you go to options and turn it on and then off again?
If you start a game now, then it should be off...

However, if you leave the settings off, and restart Cave Story+, it will still have certain graphics left on seasonal mode. Such as portraits, chests, missiles etc...

(If EVERYTHING is seasonal no matter what you do, then that's new...)

One way to fix it immediately is to set the date on your PC to ... Jan 15th or later I think. [or before Xmas last year].

Another way is to copy your base folder into the seasonal folder, and replace the original. [backup xmas though!]

May I ask what type/how old your computer is?

CS+ is a relatively small download, and Steam is just 1.5MB.
Keep in mind you must have 512MB of free HDD/SSD space free and your processor must run faster than 1Ghz.

It's actually Windows 7, it could easily use it, it's just that Steam simply won't run on my computer anymore. It worked once but now it keeps having errors.

I wouldn't recommend that, I'm pretty sure when you un-install steam, every game you installed goes with it. That was how I cleaned up my Mom's laptop of the various games I put on it.

But then you can reinstall the games, which isn't so bad unless you have some 10+ games installed through steam.
