Now I can't speak for Andwhy, and even his presence provokes a fear of the very Sun in me, but he may not be able test if he doesn't post his computer specs. Maybe he'll be able to test automatically, him being our overlord and all, but that's not my choice. It's his/Tyrone's choice. All I know is, it's not my business. I probably shouldn't have said anything at all.

Quite. The only question is will they stay a minute after they receive their copy (if they receive a copy at all), and whether they will report bugs/ give feedback is also questionable.

But how are people going to find out about this without looking at the forum? :/

Re: Cave Story+

Just heard about a new cave story version, found this forum while looking on the net, and ended up finding that beta-test is needed. Talk about luck. xD
Not that I would like to take place of those users who were here before me, but if you still need more beta testers can count me in.
Ended the game 3 times (one for each ending), and my pc specs are:
Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit)
Dual-Core AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
Installed memory (RAM): 2.00GB
GFX Device: GeForce 8500GT; 512MB Video RAM
1440x900 screen resolution

Re: Cave Story+

If you're going for extensive testing, I've also got a Windows 98 laptop with 128MB of RAM and a 1024x768 screen resolution.

I don't think Steam supports any Windows OS below XP.

Re: Cave Story+

I'd be willing to test this, but priority should be given to just about every regular member on this forum. I'm just here for the cake.

Re: Cave Story+

Sounds like fun. I have references in beta testing if you desire.

Instead of a big block of stats, here is my DX diag which includes every relevant and many irrelevant stats.

Here it is

Thank you.

I fail to see why. Paying the bills doesn't make me Hitler or whatever.

I didn't post my specs because I take beta testing seriously and to be honest my time management skills are fail.

Plus in order to test the whole game I need to also beat hell, and, erm.. well.. I've never beaten it. :(

Yeah. That's kinda why I thought Gir and Noxid were best for the job. But, as you said, it's tyrone's choice. *shrug*

I daresay, that right there is almost worthy of impeachment. Aren't you one of our oldest members, if not the oldest member here?

He's paying for your privilege to write that post, he can play Cave Story as much as he pleases.

I'm just saying that it's hard to believe that one of the people who has been around here the longest has yet to beat hell :(
(The whole impeachment thing wasn't serious)
