  • Are you aware of the bug where, if you interact with the sparkly thing to make the wall disappear, and then you die, then the next time you try to interact with the sparkle, nothing happens?

    The spikes do 20 damage because you didn't do that hack yet
    I applied it to my own exe and it fixed the issue.
    Why B2? The skull spikes are map tile based so it may not jive with tilesets other than hell. As well, B3 is more linear (enter left, exit right) where B2 has the exit middle, so that the most the closewall could ever reach is halfway.
    All that being said, we are kind of starting to pile shenanigans into B3, it might be good to space some of the action out to B2.

    I'll take a look and do some things after supper, which is now.

    The cyclical spikes are really impressive, but it would be cool if it was a more elaborate pattern / there were more spikes changing. I don't know how much effort this would be to rig though, havent' peeked at the code yet. Also when I played it I had my volume off, but if there isn't an audio cue when each block "closes" there oughta be one. Overall more spikes placed throughout the narrow area might give a greater sense of danger (not necessarily appearifying ones, just regular spikes). I like the sort of "collapsed" look, with the floor, that'll have to carry through to the next floor up for consistency.

    If there's any way to have the left side of the map close in on you (a'la Ballos' Last Throes - that is a specific entity that does those walls) it would make the "oh shit hurry" factor increase and thus further stimulate endorphin release in players, leading to greater satisfaction.

    Also, I'm once again thinking that the order I'm teaching you music theory stuffs is very illogical, so once you finish your most recent homework, we're going to abruptly go off on a very different tangent.

    EDIT: Actually I did that wrong and played through it again from the start. I still can't proceed in B3 though because the uploaded version is b0rked by an infinite event :(
