i've noticed you've been using "then" and "than" in the wrong context. Just so you know, "than" is used for comparison. "I have more points than you." "Then" is used as a connecting word in storytelling: "I was in first place, but then another boy passed me."

    I failed English class.

    I'll try to remember this.

I know that you didn't mean it that way.

ok, I was just really ticked off that I worked three weeks on that just to have that kind of discussion on the thread.

And also everyone's been very tolerant of me, especially as of late.

I would say sorry (because I am) but it's like things never change when I do, the same patterns emerge and I end up not fitting in and looking like an idiot.

    I'm sorry Polaris.
    I'm sorry Wild Desu.

I didn't mean to offend anyone, and I could have worded that much better then I did, I acted on my emotions instead of my wisdom.

    I'm sorry.

I think as long as you realize your faults and continue to strive towards overcoming them, no one can really accuse you too much. I've had to do that a lot, as well.

So don't worry about it. Just keep it in mind.
you do realize it's "itoh", not "itho", right?

Today was Turkey butchering day. Happy Thanksgiving!

I think they're usually butchered ahead of time these days

We raise the turkeys ourselves and it only takes about a week for the meat to get tender after you butcher them.

I have burning hate for factory farms.

Creative? That duck has to symbolize something important

Not really, I was just joking about it with a friend the other day and though that Shadow saying "This is the ultimate Bath toy" instead of "ultimate power" was funny.

Though it might have some symbolization in a future release of Cavern Tale.

Paint.NET is one of those things that convinces you you've found The One as soon as you try it. c:

Thankfully, I'm still on good terms with MSPaint, and still use it to quickly paste and crop screenshots.
Uhh, you know... Better stop posting at the open-source mods thread. It is not going to end well for you. Just saying.

I'm afraid that same religion doesn't guarantee a successful friendship. There are so many other humanly factors I cannot even begin.

You're a much better new user than most, Bombchu. The problem is that this community has gotten so prejudiced against the immature behavior of most new members that some established users here don't always know a competent new user when they see one. Often times when someone posts showing a characteristic that vaguely resembles that of a new member, it incites in the veterans a feeling of annoyance built up by generations of twelve-year-olds who don't know how to forum. I'm not saying you haven't had your areas of error, but those who have chewed you out are just as much if not more at fault for picking a fight and pretending that you're the one being hostile while claiming that they're not being hostile at all.

I'm afraid that you're the kind of good new user here that some people here aren't capable of recognizing. Either they're in denial that you're cool, or won't admit it, and the only people who can see you through an unclouded lens are other new members who haven't been drowned in a sea of twelve-year-olds, or other established users who've managed to resist getting sucked into "the machine."

Ultimately, the best way to form somewhat of a truce with the machine is to adjust the way you post such that it doesn't disturb the natural order of these forums. All you have to do to make this adjustment is acknowledge the problem, want it to be solved, and keep this on your mind. Then wait. Over time, you'll subconsciously make the necessary transition without negatively changing yourself as a person. This takes longer for some than it does for others. I can't really describe what kind of mental adjustment needs to be made, because this is different for each person. It's the kind of thing that comes naturally.

You're a much better user than some people have credited you for, Bombchu. The best advice I can give for the immediate future is don't listen to people calling you an idiot, but be open-minded to the attempts at constructive advice concealed in their posts. Keep being the bigger man like you have been, and over time, you'll get attacked less and less, and more and more users will look up to you.

I keep forgetting that this is a different forum then that I'm use to.
    [Sob_Story]
About two years ago I started getting into forums, I made friends on a website and eventually (because I made a donation) got the "Elite" position, the highest available to non-staff members, I was still kind of new, only 6 months along and about 900 posts.
after getting this position, I soon saw all the corruption in the special elete forums that I now had acess to.
Basically I outraged at all the crude humor there, [the site has rules against it] and told them in a not-so-nice way that
    they are tyrants.

I INSTANTLY lost all my Trust points in was at like -15 by the time the ordeal was over, (Basically half of the staff was against me at that point, and half was for me, but the half that was for me stayed in their bomb shelters and gave me some TP so I wasn't hit as bad.) I ended up being right, but at what cost.
my friends that were under Elite and those 12 year olds that thought I was cool kept asking me why I was at -10 TP. They said judging by my post quality I was really a nice guy.

For 6 months I had to put up with a -15 TP score everywhere I went, until the TP system was revamped and everyone reset to 0. (except elite and higher).

Dunc just reminded me of the 20 users with the same attitude that took my TP away and I'm not mad at him, I'm really mad at those guys and letting it out on him.

Basically everyone either hates me, or thinks I'm cool for what I've done.
It really sucked when I had -10 on my score though, it just hurt.
    [/Sob_Story]

I'll keep this in mind. thank you.
