How do we go about doing the sprites for Kanpachi's motion?

(unless this thread is officially dead, if so, I give up. Also, where did DB go?)

Making the sprites is easy, you just... make sprites. I don't know, I'm not a modder, so I actually won't be much help here, and I don't know how well I could make new Kanpachi sprites either.

 

Making a mychar file for Kanpachi might be a problem since his sprite is much taller than the default Quote one while he's holding his fishing rod. It could be done by just editing out the rod, but then would it really still be kanpachi?

 

It sure would still be Kanpachi. How could he use the Bukkit Launcher while holding the rod? Anyway, making 2 tile tall NPCs isn't hard (I think), so why is it difficult to do so with mychar?

I'm an idiot.
You need a hacked version of Doukutsu.exe that removes the (C)Pixel, because when I add it, it screws with the sprites.
Also, you aren't on XFire?

 

I am not on Xfire at the moment, and I will not be today. Sorry. Why don't you just send me your hacked version of Cave Story when I get online tomorrow?
