What is Cthulhu?

anyway, i believe cthulhu is some kind of egg.

In the Halloween edition, Cthulhu looks like H. P. Lovecraft's original Cthulhu. So it could be that the Cthulhus in the game are devolved Cthulhus.

And their eyes glow, which is different from the original sketch.

So something must have changed. Was it the Demon Crown's wearers' fault? They have been around very long, in the credits they are native to the island so there must've been a long time for the previous "Doctors" to change the Cthulu's.

But they could also be humans who went to the island a long time ago. look closely at the Cthulhu's. They could be humans in green costumes. So did they strap on costumes to not be turned into Mimiga? Do they lie about living on the island for a longer time, or even more?? Because they're human, they probably know more than Quote.

 

Cthulhu are lovecraftian horrors, King is a monarch, Santa delivers presents, Curly has curly hair, Sue is a lawyer, Quote never stops talking, and Balrog is a fire demon. It's so simple...

 

There is only one Cthulthu (<--correct spelling, by the way), who uses holographic projections of himself to do his job as the Island Guide. The only times Quote met him in person were in Cthulthu's Abode and then, after the Abode was destroyed, in the Plantation.

The credits say "The Island Dwellers"

I like this theory. Pretty cheerful. Just some guys roaming around freely. No stress upon them apart from finding food.

I was asking the same question, how is there light in the cave. And how can we see quote. And how do servers work. And how do save points work idk its a vidya gayme.

 

the light comes from jenka's magic and the save points come from the previous robots who were on the island during the island invasion; they were used to transfer their data to their source or wherever. at least that's how i cover up cave story's plot holes.
