• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

Lace.
Some of those characters are only seen in dictionaries. Some of them have no pronounciation in English. And some of them I have never seen before.
Stay the fuck on topic.

You're just sad coz I know IPA.
Also, you said yourself the topic was resolved, and this is a far more interesting topic atm.

To stop you're bitching on how they cannae be pronounced:

feet
I
fate
petter
pat
pop
(forget this one)
pup
(forget this one)
tootle
tut
hurt
(forgotzies)
POW!
(forgetten)

So out of the 15 I listed, I can remember the pronunciations of 11. Meh.

Those aren't in the English language, they represent sounds in the English Language. They could also represent sounds in Swedish, French, Klingon, anything. If you want to talk about linguistics, make a thread in the Sat Lounge.

I don't really talk about linguistics, and if I did, I'd be tossing around words like, like, morphology. I was just saying that english has more vowels than most people think, a subject brought up by a certain Yal who seemed to mis-read one of our posts again.

Also, no offtopic? You're certainly not the Fabulous I remember. These forums were built on offtopic. It's very bones are logz and andwhy and justin and jacob and ristos and countless others saying dumb, offtopic things. There are examples scattered everywhere, and that's why these forums were awesome. Don't go to the dark side, dummy.

You guys think this is an off topic discussion?

Heh. You probably haven't been to my main forum yet...

Cthulu.
Mr. Frog-earmuffs man.

Their part of some cult who completely mislead quote on a pointless quest that completely distracted him from the cthulu's world domination plot which succeeded.

Quote lives on an island while millions of innocent people are slaughtered by mario frog suit men.

The end.

What?! One of our members is a Chutlhu?! Oh, this is bad...

I was just saying that english has more vowels than most people think, a subject brought up by a certain Yal who seemed to mis-read one of our posts again.
Even though english has more vowels than the perception of mortal people suggests, swedish still has more vowels than english.

But only three
Also, I don't even know why you brought up the subject. You, I think, were trying to recover from mistakenly correcting my grammar on a post where I explained that you were mistakenly correcting my grammar. What sense does that make?

Anyways, best Cthulhu theory I've heard is schmitz's.

I brought up the subject because the sentence made me giggle. Simply, it was just normal goin' off-topic. Then I kept to the topic because I'm a besserwisser, I will not quit an argument where I know I'm right until everyone else admits it. You've admitted it, so now I can return to the topic. Thank you ^_^!

I'll look that up. I generally prefer the most unexpected theories (like King being a scientist working with creating Quote and Curly) but sometimes you actually find theories that sound probable.

Yes. I didn't base a theory off of it, I listed it as a theory. Difference.
If I had instead said "well in jenkaz nytehorsey, the ctulhu are PURPLE so this mzt lend significants to thar existance on duh izlang", it would mater that JN is a mod.

I've always kind of wondered what Cthulhu was. Is it one character, or are there multiple Cthulhus? Cthulhu is in many stages of the game, so I can't help but wonder about that. What is his purpose in the game? He doesn't give you very helpful hints (not that I can remember at least), he doesn't give you any side quests or anything (correct me if I'm wrong, been a while since I played). Doesn't attack you. He just seems rather unimportant. So why did Pixel include him? Signs could have taken the place of early tutorials.

Foreshadowing. That is a purpose. Also, a couple helpful hints, and telling you about Curly needing some memory shrooms.

They clearly have been around when Quote and Curly arrived, as they know of the war of that time. They might even have been around since the floating island has existed.
