Yes, but why is he evil, then, and how the HELL does that have anything to do with lighting the caves?

@Meta: The Sand Crocs can't light the outer wall... The outer wall is outside. They reflect that light INSIDE the cave FROM the outer wall.

The kingdom wasn't the only one around you know, so it means other people would be alive outside of the kingdom Ballos lived in.
