In less than 20 hours, the long-anticipated fifth addition to the Elder Scrolls series will be released in stores and unlocked on Steam. Anyone else excited? I have it preordered and preloaded, ready to start off as a khajiit/argonian once it's unlocked.

Discuss your Skyrim anticipations/stories here.

I still have Fallout 3 sitting around waiting to be played and I've spent quite a bit of time on Morrowind, so I've got enough Bethesda to get through before I worry about anything new

I haven't even beaten Oblivion yet :T

I don't usually buy video games anymore, as I have lost interest. I am considering changing that with Skyrim or Skyward Sword. I'll have to wait awhile first though because I lack the funds. But eh, I'm usually late to the party anyway.

I'm not one of those people that (ever) gets games right when they release; I always need to wait for a Special Event to request them be gifted to me.

That said, fortunately Christmas isn't far away.

I actually haven't looked at very much media for it because I want avoid 5P0!13|25!!11! but some of the new Khajit female faces are nightmare-inducing

I'm not planning on getting it immediately, I'll probably wait a while, so that if the price drops or they add any official mods I can just get em with it.
Hell I'm nowhere near done with oblivion, and i just bought 3 other games. I think I can hold off on skyrim for a while.

Normally I don't buy games immediately, but in this case I got it as a birthday gift.

Also I feel very, very alone in this thread.

I'll buy it as soon as possible I guess, but I didn't pre-order it because of all the work I have to do this weekend. Oblivion and Morrowind are possibly my favourite games of all time, but classes come first.

Stay in school, kids.

I'm preordering Skyward Sword as soon as I get back home, just to spite my friends.

I plan on getting this game. I'm gonna be a Redguard and I'm naming him Bill Cosby. I don't give a crap what the game's about, to me It's the Quest for Pudding!

I just... I just died a little inside. Storyline is (or should be) a pretty big aspect of most any RPG, not that it's really my place to tell you how to enjoy a game.

Edit: So it turns out I had a lot more homework than I thought I did. I've been doing homework since 7PM, and it's almost 4AM. Admittedly there have been a good handful of distractions here and there (maybe about 2-3 hours' worth), but none of them involved me playing Skyrim. I am sad.

I'm Just joking Cripplechair...
I never was good at staying on Storyline Quests, though. The side quests are just too interesting.

Ahaha. Wonderful.

Anyway, a friend of mine may get this soon anyway so I'll be all set somewhat. And I've decided to ask for Skyward Sword for Christmas. Hopefully I'll actually get somewhere D:

Hmmm... that reminds me. In my first Morrowind game, I was Vash the Stampede. I wasn't allowed to kill anything. I had to knock people out, while having an insane bounty on my head ><

Hmmm... now who should I be this time! ...

X-Calibar, have I told you I love you lately? Because I do.

Anyway, this thread mad me a little sad. Getting games for free from other people on your Birthday and Christmas, what a fancy thought.
