Lets see, Ballos... 3HP. Fun. Hell, I beat him my 1st attempt with 3HP; minimal items to boot ;P

Anywho:

1st form - Polar star - Let curly do the work, and mash the button. Take a few moments between his attacks to avoid the bone-pulse, and after it passes, go back to attacking.

2nd form - Sword - Hop into the corner of his eye, face away, and spam. Hop out when he begins jumping, attacking his eye as he lands with Curly's nemisis. Hop back in when he stops jumping, and repeat step 1.

3rd form - Polar star - attack the eyes when they're above you; using both the PS and Curly's nemesis.

4th form - Sword(L3) - this does a crapload of damage. You could kill him the same speed as super missile spam. Anywho, attempt to throw the sword between eyes, if not at the oppened ones. He'll be dead within 3 or 4 attacks. Maybe.

Well, overexaduration - It isn't really that fast. Sword level 3 is still the safest way to kill Ballos' 4th, though.

Blade lvl2 is faster for spamming one enemy but Blade lvl3 is faster for spaming multiple enemies at once, it all depends on what you need it for.

You forget, Ballos is huge. A good 75% of the Sword L3's attack will hit him.

Not if the source of the mass is concentrated in one point. If you wanna know what I mean, try Muscle doctor with l. and lv. 3 to know the difference. In simpler words, spamming with lv. 3 Blade = sux.

That's one enemy not multiple enemies.
I SAID that lv.2 is more powerful against ONE enemy and lv.3 is more powerful against MULTIPLE enemies. The DOCTOR is ONE enemy, regardless of mass HE IS STILL ONE ENEMY, Ballos' last form is made up of MULTIPLE enemies because of the EYES.

How hard is it to get a point across.

Do you think that the lvl.2 blade can deal with the bats? Yeah right.

Personally I use the lvl.2 against the Doctor at close range and try to kill him before he releases the bats (stand in the left corner and spam). But that doesn't stop me from using the blade lvl.3 when I need it, personally I like to use lvl.3 during the first part of the monster-x fight because you can spam all the eyes at once and take down the fish missiles quickly without switching to bubbler, then do lvl.2 for the remainder of the fight. lvl.3 blade is as awesome as lvl.2 blade for different reasons because they are different weapons with different stengths and weaknesses, besides its fun plowing through common enemies with the lvl.3 blade which is where it is seen at its strongest. I am not a lvl.3 Blade fanatic, I use both, I use the lvl.2 blade in boss fights that allow close-range spamming of one enemy.

Personally I think you are a Blade lvl.2 fanboy.

i love the blade but in 3hp its annoying because once its lvled to 3 its hard to bring it back to lvl 2

i personally hate blade lvl 3 in most cases, because i like to control where my attacks go, not trust a random spray in a area that i cant attack with it again until it stops

I think its fun, like the bubbler lvl.3 is.
