And at the start of my mod, you can get the Nikimaru counter and have it activate right then (working out an Equip script, but once you equip it you can't turn it off... until you beat the game... And if it's on, all the save points'll be invisible... Hehe... Pure evil... Gotta love a challenge.), so you can time your playthrough.

I'm fairly certain explosives involve fire, and the JJ would put it out, rendering the Explosive inert.
Or you would think.

Maybe the JJ is so flammable that it explodes on contact with fire, causing a pressure wave that extinguishes the fire...

That'd explain the explosion when you use it on a fire.
