In Central Europe there is no Halloween. We have the "day of the dead"* @ November 2nd, when people visit the graves of their loved ones and put flowers on it.
*It translates as "All Soul's Day" in English, but we call "All Soul's Day" the previous day, November 1st, when "we" celebrate all those who "are in heaven", with more emphasis on "salvation" than death and mourning (that's next day).
