I'm so indecisive on my desktop design, and it changes quite often. I've finally settled on one design for my laptop and desktop synchronously recently, but I can only show my laptop's at the moment.

Anwyays behold the most cluttered desktop ever:

Well, admittedly I didn't explicitly use the word "Rainmeter", but all three can be seen in my screenshots.
(Though not directly mentioned, there is a system checker thingamabob in the bottom right corner. Oh and the launcher is the only thing that I didn't make.)

 

I'd show off my own desktop again, but it's really no different from what it was in November, just with different Gardevoir wallpapers as usual. ^_^;

I don't spend enough time on my desktop to need much else, to be honest. It's definitely neat to see how customized/impossibly cluttered other desktops can get, though!

My desktop is exactly the same as it was back then, right down to the shortcuts. I should really change my wallpaper ._.

Mine's the same except for three AutoCAD shortcuts and Eclipse.

Damn...that's a nice theme.

Java (and some other things) we're mostly cut for security reasons, you can do things to get them back if you really care.

I heard it was for speed, but I could see how its a security risk. Im pretty sure flash is being cut soon, but that's for a good reason. It takes forever to load and is very very unoptimized. While HTML has a ways to go, it's progressing much faster than Flash.

Flash and Java were both cut because of security risk with something called NPAPI. Chrome stopped supporting a lot of plugins when they deprecated NPAPI in version 42. Google wants people to start relying on more web-centric technology like JS and browser extensions (for good reason of course)

Black is boring, but it's easy on the eyes, and keeps the monitor cooler lol Especially if I switch to full color space, SUPER BRIGHT

Also, if I stream to an HDTV and leave it on, no color burn for plain black.

Now that I have access to my desktop, here's a screenshot of it:

And also a video to do justice for the audio visualizer, going through a bunch of different songs in 20 second intervals (or longer). It's 30 FPS due to monitor recording with Windows Aero and that it can only record Rainmeter skins if Aero is enabled. It's 30 FPS as my screen capture software cannot see Rainmeter skins with Windows Aero disabled, and there are some compatability (?) problems limiting the FPS to 30 if it is enabled. (Fixed an awkwardly worded sentence ^_^; )

Here's the scripting documentation for Rainmeter.
It's written using a text editor, and loaded through Rainmeter.

 

What theme is that? Do you have a link to it? I desperately want it.

I really just downloaded a bunch of skins and put this together, rather than getting someone elses theme.
Skins:
Hexagon icons- Honeycomb
Sun position- SunRiseSet
Clocks/date etc at the top- Serenity
Dock on bottom- Icon Dock (2.0, i think)

Yes, i still use Windows XP. My laptop won't handle Win 8 / 10.
