Umihara Kawase for the SNES
Yep, I've played it (Heck, I have a crossover pic with my CS incarnation in that game on my signature at the time) & enjoyed it. A few unexpected screwups because of the randomly spawning enemies can be irritating at times, but it's not too much of a problem...
(On most levels... Fields 38 & 48 are some exceptions)

Umihara Kawase was awesome!
Agreed. Entirely.
EDIT: I finally thought of another game to list here. It's...
Wicky Woo!
Basically, it's a platformer where you're this yellow character who looks like a Megaman sprite edit that has to jump on top of these green
mints blobs to advance to the next level. This was the very 1st online game I have technically played.
I don't really know how in the friggin' heck people get over millions of points playing this game when I can't even get over
9,000 60,000 points in one playthrough... At least the Recent High Scores list is usually kept clean of these seemlingly impossible scores...
A sequel to this flash game was made, as well, but instead of jumping on blobs, Wicky Woo
the Megaman knock-off has to step on all of the hollow yellow squares to fill them in, while getting Blue Spheres to get rid of Waddle Dees from the Kirby games that have appeared for no apparent reason in each level.
