Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

43501, your post darkened the colors of the picture significantly. This has been an issue throughout the existence of this thread; I think Noxid added some of the details in the OP about how the problem might be avoided, but if they aren't there check through the thread to see all kinds of discussion about it.
Also, I'm not sure if I wish that I had been privy to the IRC conversation or not. I'm thinking probably not, though...

in truth nobody really knows why it gets darker, that is just a theory
it's been a killer of this game because ofc pixel art is pretty sensitive to palette changes and if it compounds then it things go downhill fast. Case in point:
The best advice I can give is just to check your image after you upload because it happens to me sometimes and sometimes it doesn't and really I just don't know

Okay, I seem to have located the problem. Saving wasn't causing the issue. The image host was. So I'm using a different host now.
Edit: Crap. Can anyone verify whether it happened again? I sampled some colors from this and compared it to the last person's edit and they were the same.

Well, this is the same as the previous person's edit alright. Although it looks like one of them darkened it a scosh because the sky isn't the same color specified in the OP, but it's not so bad as to warrant fixing yet.
