I was practicing for quite a while, too bad Noxid cheats is bettering me.

 

oh man! So close, but yet so far. Unfortunately that means I take the lead uncontested... maybe next time fellas!

The next game we have is a nifty lil' shump suggested by DoubleThink, called...

PARSEC47

Defeat retro enemies modenly.

Retromodern hispeed shmup, 'PARSEC47'.

As it says, control your ship to defeat the enemies. There are two ship types available each with a different special attack, which you use is up to you. Personally I prefer Roll.
Collect green bits for score, the more green bits you get in a row the more they're worth. If one goes off the screen, the counter is reset, but having them hit the bottom isn't bad.
You can fire both weapons at the same time.

We'll go with Normal difficulty since I found playing on practice to be too easy. Shoot for score! Good Luck!

More notes:
-Lock makes it simpler to take out larger enemies and especially bosses, but its lack of crowd control can cause difficulty as the intensity intensifies
-After the boss at every 10th parsec, the game will ease up relatively for a few waves, allowing a chance to recover and get a life or two back
-There may or may not be programmed slowdown; please mention if you notice any

Oh, great. First GIRakaCHEEZER is a Psychopathic Spelunky Sun God, then Noxid is a Tetris Tsar, and now DoubleThink is just going to play Parsecutioner and crush any hopes we have of getting high scores.

It looks like the staff gets all of the bonus jerky. :<

fun fact: you have to be grandmaster level at at least one kind of game to qualify for being on the staff at CSTSF

I think it could be more to do with the fact that we've all both been playing video games a long time (read: are old) and have nothing better to do. Don't fret, I'm sure in time you could all come to be as skilled as we

command-line options. The easiest way is probably to make a shortcut to the game, then right click it and edit properties and add them like this

I just edited the batch file and just ran that instead. Having cmd.exe open isn't that big of a deal to me.
