I have never used the rocket launcher (and beat The Sisters) in the game. I always stuck with the Polar Star and Spur.

Please stop embedding files/images from Discord. Discord has anti-hotlinking logic in place that breaks links to Discord hosted files and images when linked to from anywhere outside of Discord. There are a multitude of file/image hosting sites you can use instead.

Such as before Monster X, when you want to kill some of the flying Gaudis on the right without triggering the start of the boss fight. The Missile Launcher's range is longer than anything else, even the Spur.
But yeah, there are quite a few bosses with nigh-immunity to it (Balrog III, Curly and Omega at least, wouldn't know about most of the others because I hardly ever use it), and a couple of others make using it really finickity by having stuff you have to blast out of the way (Pooh Black, the Core), and its almighty DPS is useless against yet other bosses, because you can only do a certain amount of damage at a time (Monster X to an extent, Misery, the Undead Core).
And it sucks at shooting down bullets.
