My documents folder accidentally me.

*Windows Explorer is restarting*
*Running AVG*
*No viruses found*
*Checking size of documents folder*
*Over 17.4 GB*

Alright, I NEVER put that much shit into my documents folder. And it closes whenever I open it. Help.

I just deleted about 172 files using 7Zip. It turns out those files were the cause of losing 17.5 GB. Right now, I'm doing a virus scan just to make sure.

Over 15000 objects scanned, 0 threats found so far.

In the time I took to write this, the number jumped from 15000 to 100000

 

Use malwarebytes and don't rely solely on one virus scanner, cuz it's not going to find everything.

Hope you manage to get rid of whatever's in your computer.

 

Scan it with Ad-Aware.

 

You've got loads of tiny .txt files somewhere, probably for logging or cookies, which would explain the jump from 15,000 to 100,000 in such a short time.

Also, it's OVER 9000!!!!!

I accidentally a per-keystroke keylogger on your computer, but set it to save the logs instead of sending them to me.
Also, each key press makes a new file.
