I stand by my point. This project won't be made reality unless you do it yourself, and honestly, that doesn't seem very likely.

Weren't the backgrounds normally drawn or painted in most anime, correct me if I'm wrong.

Recently, movie productions use CGI backgrounds with handdrawn textures.
Howl's Moving Castle uses much CGI in a decent way. The DVD has a nice making-of about this.

I can do up a website for the project and you can try to get support for the project from the many Cave Story fans out there (skills/donations/whatever) if plan A fails.

I cannot see Plan C ever working.

You would need a professional job for the voices, since voices can sound bad when its not professionally done, If plan B is ever initiated this would be the only thing you would need to pay for.

Plan D Repeat Plan A, it worth a shot, even more so if you have something to show them from Plan B.
Awesome! Wait until I finish the script, though.

That's why it's last on the list.

Definitely.

Most likely.

You confuse one thing, Dr. Seuss wanted to publish a book that would only cost a minor edit and the printing. Today, anyone can publish a book. You can even print and bind it yourself.
Animation is much more expensive and complex and has to make much more money to break even.
I was referring to the concept.

I stand by my point. This project won't be made reality unless you do it yourself, and honestly, that doesn't seem very likely.
It's still worth trying. Honestly, what's the worst that could happen?

Keep in mind that unless I make a crapload of money off of the first movie, there most likely won't be a sequel. So I'm going to ask everybody to stop asking questions about the sequel until the first movie is made, if ever.

I prefer to "wait and see".

CGI seems to be a more expensive option, I would go for the cheaper option if it was me.
Also, Cave Story + 3D elements = :D

May Plan C never happen.

1. Also, Cave Story + 3D elements = crap. Pixel used low graphic and sound quality, and his game was phonamenal. The movie shall be the classic Anime style that we all know and love.

2.

But there isn't a smiley for the word "crap", so "confused" did the job.

OK, so I'm still working on the script, but I hit a writer's block yesterday, so in boredom I wrote the first two chapters of the "sequel", only in the form of fanfiction. It's not that great, but I might update it every now and then.

Find it @ http://homebase-kice.com/sequel-fanfiction.htm

I just did a large browse through the Cave Story Livejournal, found it and put a link it here just in case it might be important to the story.

Good point. I'll edit that.

EDIT: "mimified"? Sounds like some form of embalment.

I don't think Misery was the one who mimified Sue. Otherwise she wouldn't have mistaken Toroko for sue.
Misery probably can't tell one Mimiga from another.

For some reason I pronounce Mimiga as MIG-MAH, but because I don't know how it is pronounced I am using that pronounciation for the time being, does anyone know how Mimiga is pronounced? Is it MIM-I-GAH?

Wasn't that called FROG in the Final Fantasy games, and in Breath of Fire it was EGG. Those spells were annoying!

I think it's pronounced MEE-mee-gah, capitals being emphasized. Although I've also heard it pronounced meh-MEH-gah, but I don't think that's right.

...wait, why are you posting this here? Why am I posting this here??

meh-MEH-ga sounds like english, while this is Japanese. mi-mi-gah is as i pronounce it (No emphasis).

Come to think of it "mimified" sounds like mummified  .

Probably because we have had quite a few posts become offtopic of late and we have probably become adjusted to that.

I will try to get back in the correct frame of mind again.

Though it would be good to know how everything will be pronounced in the movie.

I started making that site I mentioned, I know I shouldn't but I'm bored.
Do have any ideas on how you want the layout of the site to be?

Will the paleness of Quote's skin be due to the amount of time he has been lying in a cavern with no sunlight, or that skin colour is not possible due to Quote and Curly not having blood?

The sequel is extremely well done so far, congrats!
