So apparently I found this the other day : http://www.cavestory.org/forums/threads/806/ and I really wanted to try it. However, as most of you probably know, the guy who owned Megaupload was sent to jail and his website was taken down due to pirated content. SO, now I can't download the Death Story mod because it was originally posted on Megaupload, which is why I made this thread. I seriously want to try it out, even though it looks insanely hard.

If anyone has this mod, I would like to request for you to upload it onto Mediafire or whatever you use, and post the link down below...please?

So I found this other mod called Kate Story and I wanted to try it but apparently Kate is from this other mod called Legacy Story, so I wanted to try Legacy Story before Kate Story. The download link I found doesn't work, and I couldn't any others, so if anyone has it downloaded, please upload it onto mediafire or something and send a link?

 

I know I probably asked this around when I joined the forums, but does anyone know where I can find a working version of misery story?

I actually didn't realize this thread existed.

So. Knowing that it does exist...

I already talked about this in a Status Update I did, but I feel like not many people will notice it there, so how would you guys feel about a mod centered around light manipulation? Things like Lightswitches, Directional Light Sources (rotatable?), and Destroyable Light Sources are all things I'm considering for maybe a fully fledged mod... maybe. I'm not sure how many people would play it, though.

And as mentioned in the comments of the status update, Bombchu_Link has a system to allow neat lighting tricks, as displayed in his mod. I'm not asking for permission to use it, because honestly, using foreground black blocks works well enough, but maybe if it became open source... some day...

Regardless, I may have a demo of the mod out soon enough, which I won't make a thread for, since at this stage it's unnecessary. I'll just post it here when it's ready.

Yeah, I own nothing/you don't need to ask anyone to use it.

And if I did own it, I would have it most definitely in my Open Source Mods

I might suggest changing the lighting to NPC's, and I might be able do that for you if you ask here depending on the complexity of it..
